Scotland U21 108 - 67 Hanguk U21
(39720)Reporting live from this musky "Zooey Arena". We have a new look to our court layout. Looks pretty good indeed. Must be inspiring our players a little as we're keeping a tight match.
Just at the end of the quarter Yoon-Seuk Park
(38793660) nails the buzzerbeater from mid court, right above our new center court logo, to bring the score to 20-18. Making a statement!
Start of the 2nd quarter, we're coming out a little flat. 0 for 4 shooting and letting Wendell and his Scots come out to a 11-0 run. After 4 minutes without scoring a single basket, we call a timeout. Whatever I told the players during the timeout must've worked. We score a quick basket +1 on the play, and a quick turnover which we converted to another basket. We're making a game out of this, going basket for basket. down 10. 38-28. Kyung-Young Bang
(38793690) stretches out for a dunk, forcing Scotland to regroup as they take a timeout. Following the timeout we force ANOTHER turn over! and we convert! 38-32. The French fans are going wild!
It's to be noted that Wendell decided to tease us a little bit by not putting in all his 21 year olds, but we're glad to make this an exciting game. A number of our team will soon be graduating from the U21 squad. Sang-Chul Yun
(38793678), Kyung-Young Bang
(38793690), Yoon-Seuk Park (38793660), Jin-Sub Ham
(37992179), and Ki-Hyun Hwang
(37992073). We wish them well on their journey, hopefully towards joining the Hanguk NT.
Back to the game. It's halftime. Scotland threw in a few triples before the break to lead 48-32. Our comeback run came to a halt.
Fresh from the half, we're getting bullied a bit on the boards, an area we can use improvements on next season. Stephen Bolland
(39035902) is single handedly taking us apart with shots, passing, and rebounding this quarter. With a deflating 27-13 quarter, we now trail by 30. 75-45.
