Last night I managed to bungle my lineup and had my 39yr old backup PG slated to start at center, fortunately running LCD the bench bot made the sage decision of starting La Barbera so it worked out in the end, of course going 18-19 from the stripe in the final stanza didn't hurt matters, though the 12-23 thru three periods is a cause for concern https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJpGHR6ofus

Real surprised with the gate thus far, Generals tickets are suddenly pretty hot properties, though having like 14 seats left over every night is a bit perplexing. Now comes the debate of if I should tweak the prices upward or add a few seats. Screw it, time to do the latter, telling the secretary to call the contractors right now.

It was a good game. The better team won. Kind of a joke my PF took 29 shots and never got to the line. But we had 3 chances to win it and muffed each one. Can't really complain about that. And it probably makes up for the last second win we had at the start of the season.

We're a player or two short, but I keep getting ninjaed on the TL. Pretty much selling out the arena and making good money. Only games we got squashed in were one where the other team played normal and another where one player scored 53 points. Not sure how long the fans will put up with it, but I'm not unhappy.

Well, as far as the fouling goes, Speed doesn't foul too often. Probably more than zero on 29 shots (though I think the backup would have been in some), but my team averages a small number of fouls per game.

It was definitely a good game. Not an entertaining one to watch, I'd imagine. I don't know what was up with Schur off the bench in particular - he's two seasons removed from winning the three point contest and he's been at 46.8% from downtown at worst the last three seasons in the league, but he was missing shot after shot even when defended by PFs. Heck, my PG position was supposedly at 96.6 points per 100 shots and yet Cline goes 0-8 and Schur was 1-12 (1-8) while in at PG. Good thing I was scared enough of your defense to not risk playing Wray in this game, because I'm sure that the 10 minutes Wray played Vireca would have put up at least 15 points.

It's just sad the way the game played out. If I had won because whoever was being guarded by your PF at SF from outside in the 3-2 started raining threes, that would be fair. If you had won because you did the right GDP, apparently the right defense and my players couldn't shoot me out of it, that would be fair. For you to lose because my big man stuck at SF because I'm still training shotblocking decides to drive the lane and actually hit with two seconds left to force OT, and then to have one of the engine's screwy end of game steals where the clock essentially runs out because the engine doesn't have late game logic is just not cool. I was pretty confident with the 11 seconds remaining because I didn't expect to give up two threes and I have good free throw shooting mostly, but the way it played out didn't do your team justice.

I am so, so tired of being stuck running patient, too.

Since he just passed yesterday might as well use this one to approximate the Generals feelings towards the goings on last evening, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW0hxbrmFhM

For 3 1/2 periods it seemed like the boys had this one but in the final moments the wheels came off, but Hydro is a quality cluband once they get healed they will be a real factor.

I'm not, but if you want to have even more injuries and win even less I won't complain too loudly.

;) if you keep exploiting Robbies outside weakness you might just clue the rest of the league in to it.

He's weak outside? And here I was thinking the reason I won the game was his inside weakness letting Hitchcock grab those two offensive rebounds. It's time to re-evaluate everything in life, I guess.

Very nice win for my Lions this week against NB Nasties. The enthusiasm advantage turned into overkill, but would have been necessary if we didn't injure the SG and some rested starters due to the cup. There are really only 2 teams we can't hang with and that is just fine as we aren't quite ready for DII. In fact, we have the lowest salary in the league after Johns Creek's recent purchase.

Unfortunately for me, it seems that all my conference mates had nice games as well. The only lost games were expected. Lions are holding tough to a playoff spot, but the hold is tenuous with 3 teams only 3 games behind. I think we could win a relegation series if pushed to that, though, so I'm not getting too worked up.

As the season progresses, it seems that Rik Smits and Deronimo are the clear favorites for title contention. However, neither is unbeatable and there may be piles of money waiting to be spent by contenders yet.

First of all, yes, a very nice win for you and one that I appreciated highly. With the new promotion spaces opening up, I think finishing first in the conference is that much more important since I don't think you can make it out in the bonus promotion if you're not first in your conference.

On your second paragraph, if a loss by Cal to me was expected, you're either far more prescient than I am or you're a horrible judge of talent that just got lucky. ;) I went into the game thinking I had a decent chance of winning, mind you, but expecting to beat a team like that on the road is pretty ambitious - heck, I shifted training this week because I didn't think I had a chance at anything less than full strength.

I'd want to argue that I'm not one of the favorites for contention but I guess at some point you are what your record says you are. I am fortunate that I've already had my road games against NB and tetra, plus Yeet as well, so my final third schedule is much more manageable than the first third. Getting by Cal on the road was huge, but of course the road game with Deronimo is the next major hurdle. And considering I've never won there except in scrimmages or games he was tanking, that's not an easy challenge at all. Thankfully I get your team in my stadium, so I don't quite have all four of the team Blue playoff teams as road games.

I think more than anything, I'm happy that my team actually shot almost as many threes as twos on Saturday.
