If you follow this series, you know I had marked this game day in red ink. I needed to catch up to X Dominate X's monster win against Crows. If I did I'd likely recover my 1 game advantage, if I didn't I'd fall behind in the standing and would have a hard time holding on to the 1st seed. That means it wasn't a good time for my most paid player, $80k/week Shooting Guard Jimmie Morris to s**t the bed. Playing in the C position of a reverse patient offense, and going against a promising but still not ready 19yo, Morris shot an atrocious 8-27. Luckily we somehow patched together a win from other contributions.
Meanwhile, X Dominate X went for it @ Ashkickers. That would have been a twist -- regaining the 1 game lead by winning another away game. Ultimately Ashkickers had too much and pulled away between the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
When it rains buckets, it pours buckets. For their first ghost game as newly botified team Doctors of WI (who somehow are still in the cup---one must assume they'll go out on Thurs) draw Yuck. Folks, what Yuck did to them wasn't pretty.
Yes, Globo's is going to the playoffs, despite Duane Jansen's tweets against the GM. Rumor is that Jansen thought about pulling off a Harden, but he did show up and drop 42.
Bonilla is back to shredding, but Motor City can't defend yet, and Scrap Heap gets whatever they want. It is them, and not Cassville that score the most points this game night.
Quietly but surely JCW is keeping pace. Mark Oct 21 @ JCW's arena. It's a match with enormous implications for the whole season.
