By the way, an experienced user mentioned to me that the FAQ is a bit off for the potential balls. It should probably be this:

Potential
5 balls = 9 - 11 (MVP - All-time Great)
4 balls = 7 - 8 (Perennial Allstar - Superstar)
3 balls = 5 - 6 (Star - Allstar)
2 balls = 3 - 4 (6th Man - Starter)
1 ball = 1 - 2 (Announcer - Role player)

ah okay. Send GM-Rip a BB-mail and ask him to change that section with the new info.

Just to point out, you missed out on Bench warmer potential, which is actually Potential level 2.
Also, the only difference I can see between what you listed there, and the FAQ is that the FAQ says that 3 balls can be a starter, and you are saying that 3 balls cannot be a starter. Are you sure that 3 balls can't be a starter potential?

I am not saying anything, this is just what someone else told me. I even heard someone report once that one of their allstars came out as a 4 ball player.

All I know is that, in my experience, starters came out as 2 ball potential. However, it may be, because of potential sub-level that none of these charts are valid.

(or maybe they usually hold, but the visible rounding that we see for potential is not the same that we see for balls)

Perhaps there is an overlap?

So starter can be 2 balls or 3 balls. And allstar can be 3 balls or 4 balls. And MVP can be 4 balls or 5 balls.
Just a thought.

I have seen no evidence of this, in fact I have seen more the other way. I was just throwing it out there.

To me, the possibility of different rounding is perhaps the most likely explanation. Either that, or the classes are fixed and maybe just a bit more work needs to be done to tweak the FAQ.

So you are saying that you've seen players with two ball potential come out as starters, right? I'm just trying to get some confirmation.

I am not 100% sure but I am pretty sure. I guess just get some more data from this draft and we will see.
