I think what should be done here is give a chance to have an actual debate with both candidates being on equal ground, and that means inviting kozlik to off-site forum. Otherwise there is no chance to draw up specific plan.
If that is not done then we can pretty much end the discussion right here because its pointless.
Also, for those people disregarding the past. How else do you judge manager's knowledge about game engine, tactics, importance of certain skills at specific positions, etc?

So I have one question to managers (that both can answer without knowing NT players skills).

Show me one game that you managed (whether in NT or club) that you have won thanks to certain unusual tactical choice, explain what it was and how it contributed to final result.

Also, regarding a message from one manager. I dont think that its a job of NT coach to write BB-mails to each user. This is pointless, and would take much of valuable time away. New users should post on forum, or at least send a BB-mail with a question themselves. If in that case NT manager doesnt help or refers to a person that can help, then you can blame them, and not for not going through each league in Canada in search of new teams

@beanerz: Long-term plan doesnt require player builds, although depth chart would be immensely helpful, but how do you suggest making a short-term plan without knowing what you have to work with? Unless we are talking about making pretty speech about contacting managers to develop players, write training plans etc. This stuff is fairly obvious and I am sure each candidate is aware that that's part of the job.

- Teaming up with the U21 manager so that I can ensure that superstar+ players are trained and set up well for success at the NT level.
- Constant communication with managers of NT players and possible callups to ensure training and GS is kept in check.
- Exploring the best possible roster decisions each and every week depending on GS, training and callups.
- Maintaining Canadas NT Depth Chart so managers know where their players stack up.
- Creating an NT training guideline to help newer managers with trainees to better their chances at training Canadas next superstar.
- Beginning to encourage the training of JR and SB with the new salary and potential cuts that they have in order to strengthen Canadas ability to play more than one tactic.
- And then the basics, Scouting, Picking the best players for the roster, Gameplanning threads, Wise tactics and enthusiasm use. All that good stuff.

In my opinion most of these points is a job for scauts. I really don't know how these points (except encouragement of taking care of the game shape - but it's base, nothing special) can help you win medals...I think you have done pretty much the same for the last two seasons. How did it translate into results?

Of course it is good job...but you can do it without being coach. In my opinion coach is the man with the greatest knowledge who is responsible for coordinating all. Coach can't do everything.

The coach must focus primarily on the match. He should consider all of the options to choose the best and win. The coach can not be limited only to select the best players. These players must fit into the concept of the game.

I have an idea how to use your best abilities. I would like to create a great staff team. I would see you there. I think all together we can do more. My knowledge and experience and your activity. It sounds great.
----------------------------
Do not worry about checking the players and making the base. I have led Poland NT for 4 seasons. I can do it very well. I have tools to do it quickly and accurately. I will not neglect anything.

To not look far...my last match in league (62955873) I had just 6 players to play. I played away. First games are very difficult because the enthusiasm is small and the own court will give you more advantage. I had to do something more than LI and mtm to win. I decided to play 2-3 in defense. I think I have great player to play this tactic. The most important to play 2-3 is BL and OD for inside players and ID for outside players. I used this and it worked. I won RB and make inside defensive stronger. Although, I clearly lost assist and had much more turnovers I won very confident.

Absolutely agree!

Would appreciate if Bballin answered question as well before the voting deadline to give managers a chance to make informed decision

I regret I had so little opportunities to talk with you about tactical knowledge. I think tactical knowledge will be the most useful in the face of the upcoming changes. How will lead the national team someone who didn't successfully use, and probably doesn't know how to successfully use other tactics than LI and MtM? I proved (in this debate and in my history) I have much more to offer in this item. Think about it again...You can still change your voice:-)

All the best

You prove what by showing 1 single game where you played LI/2-3? Wow, that is such a huge change from LI/man.

Hell, CAN NT and CAN U21 both played LI/2-3 last game.

We never use other tactics. Ha!

I'm sure Bballin has used other tactics with his club team and won games as well.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Be fair man. The question was about one match...You can look on my history and find a lot of matches when I successfuly use almost all tactics. I definitely have more practice in using different tactics on the highest level.

When Bbalin used another tactic than LI and MtM and won difficult to win by LI and MtM match? When did tactical knowledge was given him advantage? I don't see even single match when 2-3 was given Bbalin advantage.

By the way, the most important is not to show the match but to prove understanding of tactics. I did it. Bbalin not. You can play 2-3, and don't understand how it works.

He was only answering the question, no need to be like that about it.

I'm not being anyway about it. I'm just saying that if he has so many examples of great usage of BB tactic choices, it's pretty funny to me that he points out one where all he did was LI/2-3 instead of LI/man. I don't find it terribly ground-breaking.
(But at least he has answered questions for the debate)

Yes, answering questions is a definete plus in a debate. Also, 2-3 is the tactic that is hard to understand by most, extremely useful if well used since most of teams play LI and a misuse has terrible consequences (just look at my game with Hounds in the cup), so although not groundbreaking, knowing how to play 2-3 is extremely important. Also, I dont think there is any doubt at this point who has more experience at highest level, which wasnt as important until now since it was almost always LI/m2m, but it will become extremely important starting season 26, and thats when more experienced manager could greatly benefit our NT, as well as users who can also observe whats happening and implement ideas they like to their own teams. I could understand results of last election with monotony in tactics and activity being arguably most important factor, but now I think it is time to get some knowledge from the outside. It could do nothing but benefit BB Canada in my opinion

Well, in couple of hours everything will be decided. It is really to bad that debate went exactly as predicted with one candidate tryng to gain trust, and other one trying not to screw it up by not putting any answers out there, except for standards about activity and stating that nothing was screwed up in past 2 seasons that had big consequences so why change?

I will support whover wins this elections and help Canada as much as I can, but the reason why I didnt start and that I support kozlik in this elections is that the changes introduced will benefit experienced managers and I didnt feel I have enough expierence (and I dont believe that bbalin does with tactics either)

Sorry ive been realy busy lately with work.

First off, why point out that Canada rarely stays away from LI/MtM.. We wouldnt have had as much success if we didnt. Is the goal of an NT manager to play the wackiest tactics and impress people?

Anyways to answer the question, (18340)

An inverted Patient win against France at the U21 level in the repechage. We were horribly outmatched at each position, so we created our own mismatch and it worked.

Any other questions?
