Honestly, I think a lot of it has to do with the Redstones having highly inferior players from being coachless.
However, playing French Patient isn't a new tactic either. What is really the difference between playing Outside Iso and Patient? In my mind, Patient is spreading out and passing the ball until reaching an inferior matchup and Outside Iso is spreading out trying to drive and passing when its not there. I'd really would need to see a few games with quality players on each team to say this is a solid tactic as if the Guard's inside skills are being used vs the Center too often than its a poor option. The Redstones would have lost to any tactic but with this lineup Outside Iso seemed like a safe play with some upside.
