All-Star Week

Well, the results are in. The Eagles staff, players, and fans were happy to see 2 faces in the All-Star Week festivities. SF Reg Torres and SG Ye Huaien both made the 3 Point Contest. Even though Reg didn't make the game, Ye did. He'll be the starting SG for the Great 8. "I feel awesome right now. Now I get to play against the best of the best from the Big 8 and work with great players that are beast for their teams. Even though our Great 8 is getting shalacked in Inter-League play, I hope we can get back at them with winning the All-Star Game. This also means I have a chance to put revenge on Maksig Blancaflor." That's what Ye said. Now Reg: "Awesome, first one to get the show on the road. Ready to start practicing my shooting touch and make my way to win the 3 point contest. Let's go Eagles!"

"This is Great. After last season having no one appear in the All-Star Game, I was pretty mad because of the controversial voting between another SG and Ye. But now that Ye gets the start, I feel like we got our payback. I hope he can represent the Mountain Eagles and the Great 8 well. GO GREAT 8!" Stay tuned Wednesday as your Great 8 (Gangsters) will take on the Big 8 (Beast) this is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.

My league is dead as a door nail. On top of that I have no Allstar competitors due to out of position training. Though Bryant out of position training was a close 3rd almost 2nd at the sf voting... Pg shoulda easily been Jung. Excited for draft time.... 3-7th in my league are ALL 6-7 on season.

Destructive, Slaughtering, Big Win

Well the Mountain Eagles have posted their largest win in their History: a 61 point blowout to the just created team a few hours earlier, The Timos, destroying them by a score of 104-43. Players of the Game are Guards Ye Huaien and Reg Torres. Ye posting 28 points and Reg posting 25 points. Other good performances were double doubles from Anatony Tomilin and Ulferd Stillfried; Stillfried with 14 points, 12 boards, 6 assists, 5 blocks, and 3 steals, while Tomilin had 14 points and 10 boards. Here is GM tough: "Well, still in trade talks with Ye Huaien, hopefully we'll have already agreed on a trade by Friday. Also we're about to be in a mist of trading Reg Torres and Marcos Tirado. We're trying to get our team young and having them three is not a good idea of making a team younger. Hopefully Cash will make a speedy recovery from his Concussion and hopefully he can come back into the training program." Well, that is it this is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.

I too am "blowing up my team" ...kinda... I am still trying to be competitive enough to make playoffs... But don't intend on competing during playoffs... My plan is to find new trainee guys via draft/fa before next season to work on and to reinvent the Blake Street Bombers. Jung and Bryant of course will be held onto until further notice of course. But even they are not untouchable.

Breaking News

Star SG Ye Huaien has been sold for 141k to a Canadian Team [The Black Guys] Here is Ye at the final moments in a news conference: "I thank you all for your support of me, keeping trust and staying with me in hard times. Times were tough, I came in and made it hopefully easier for you guys. Again, I thank y'all for your enthusiasm, loyalty, and support. GO Mountain Eagles!"

Here is GM tough: "Changes are coming, and they coming fast." that is all he had to say. "WHY!!!!!!!!! WHY YE!!!!!!!!!!!!" said a fan at the conference. "I'm so sad, I remember those Ye times, 40+ point games, buzzerbeaters and three pointers. I will miss Ye." "I feel bad for those Eagles, time to take your plummet to mediocrity." "WHAT!? IS?! THIS DUDE!? THINKING OF SELLING YE?!?!?!??!?!" said a frustrated fan. Sol Scarborugh on twitter tweeted: "I always loved passing it to the Red guy. Always like to see him hit those threes and make game winning shots and entertaining games. We will miss you Ye.
#number9willbemissed " Cash said: "Man what we gonna do? I hope our GM has some ideas....."

Well there it is. Ye is gone. More "changes" are to happen. We will see what those changes are. This is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.

thanks and here's another game recap.......

Eagles Win 1st Game without Ye

Another exciting game as the Mountain Eagles held on to win against the Almdudlers in a score of 114-102. Player of the Game was Marcos Tirado, in his last game as a Mountain Eagle. He posted a double double with 26 points and 12 assists. Here is Tirado: "Man thank you for giving me this place and this game for me, I really loved passing that rock around with my amigos, and shooting it like a bull in those running of the bulls matches. Thank you Mountain Eagles and good luck!" Reg Torres, Sol Scarborough, and Stillfried also had great games. Reg Torres got 29 points, Sol had almost a double double with 9 points, (hitting 2 3-pointers in the game :O) 14 rebounds, 4 dimes, and 4 swats. "I actually feel more confidence in myself these pass few games. I also wanted to make an impression to the guys and for Ye. I'm feeling more good vibe in my game and I feel like I'm contributing now. Let's go on to face Storm Crows and get another W there." "Man I hope I get to stay with this team. They're a good group of guys and I'd like to have at least one more game with the team before I say goodbye." said Torres. Here is GM tough: "Also Derek Floyd Reid and Tomilin had good games just so you know ;). I feel good right now, saving our cap space for...........for.............I don't know what yet. Maybe I go snag a couple of un-drafted free agents or something for next year's draft. Maybe I go out there and sign a big time guy. I don't know. But all I know is that our team's direction is riding on Cash and Sol. Those are our guys of the future. Those are our guys who will highlight the Mountain Eagles franchise. I also would like for Floyd Reid to highlight the franchise too. But right now all I'm focusing on is unloading the guards." Well that is it from the game. Mountain Eagles go on to 14-4 and clinch a playoff spot. If they win next game it means they clinch 2nd place and home-court for the 1st round of the IV.29 Playoffs. GO Mountain Eagles and that is it, from Dodge Arena this is Derek Alston reporting for The Eagle.

Eagles End Season on Sour Note

Well the Mountain Eagles went out there and played some basketball...........for 30 minutes. They were able to tie the ball game 56 all until El Puerco Grande started running and never looked back. The Mountain Eagles ended up losing the match 105-84. Player of the game was Floyd Reid, who almost had a double double, with 16 points, and 9 rebounds. Tomilin fouled out of the game with 18 points in 21 minutes with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. Here is Floyd Reid, who is candidate for Rookie of the Year: "Man, had a great season, Learned a lot from the guys, Stillfried, Tomilin, even Ye and Reg when they were here. Helped me in my handling and passing and this season I want to improve my jump shot. But first things first. Playing a game against Almdudlers and I'd like nothing better to start my playoff debut with a win!" Here is Sol Scarborough: "Man good season guys. Even though we're probably not going to win the championship, home court is always good considering what we did. 15-7. Pretty good for only our 2nd season in division 4." Here is GM tough: "I'm just waiting. Waiting for the draft and waiting for who comes out of it. Maybe I can snag a couple of undrafted Free Agents, help them improve, and trade them in order to get the next generation of great Mountain Eagles. For now, let's just try our best against Almdudlers and have fun. GO MOUNTAIN EAGLES!" Well there you have it; Come on down Tuesday night as your Mountain Eagles will host the playoff game vs. 3rd seed Almdudlers, winner will go on to the Conference Finals. This is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.
