There are injuries which are at least a season long, and surely there are injuries who affect that player skills for life.
Those are not really rare.

Age is one of the factors for this randomness "Fatal" injury as I describe it.
Of course this probability is low, but it happens.
From 50K users/teams there will be some who will suffer from it each year. As should be.

I can somehow see a point in people over a certain age having a certain possibility of carreer ending injuries, if only to limit the players playing on for forever.

So like players over 32 having a (n+1)*0,1% percentage of the next injury beeing a career ending one, with n beeing the number of overall career injuries.

yeah, i can see this being alright if it happens to players only over 33 or something like that, but I would be pretty pissed if my 22 yr old or something gets a career ending injury. That isn't really realistic at all

Basicaly you are saying, let it be only for players that I (you) will never purchase.

No, it should be for all ages, with the posibility growing exponentialy by age, but nevertheless there is a real posibility that Greg Oden (a very young player although his look...) will have an injury that will change is skill for good, or Brandon Roy (27 yo player) will have one that will end it.

No, I´m saying we need something to end player´s careers, other than manager´s

And after all your realism claims, you should join me in the point that a career ending injury becomes more likely the older you are. You might recover form a torn ACL if you´re a young gun (even in 4-5 Buzzerbeater weeks), but you may not come back if it´s your third and you´re already 33.

I'll repeat...

one day there will be players on rosters that are 100 years old, so they should either auto retire at 45 or 50 or something, or cark it with increasing probability after 50
