i think i stuffed up. lost the league game and probs going to lose the cup game because i didnt keep enough in reserve for the game tonight

haha yeh mate. nothing impressive about it. i might do some shopping tonight and see if i can sure up my lineup for tomorrow nights game.

Same here. Don't care much about league wins this season but nearly threw away the cup in the first round!

It is funny that despite selling off most of my team, having an injury to 1 of my 5 players left and playing PGs at C for training, my 3 losses were to the top 3 teams and 2 of them were very close and only Gisborne Gladiators were willing to tie me. Look slike the old Hippos still have a few tricks (as well as nearly $2 million). It is going to be a great battle between Gisborne Gladiators and Skyhook Dreamers! It is a rivalry game, it may determine HCA in the playoffs, it will be a big, big, big game!

i never underestimate the Hippos.. i dont know what your secret is, whether it is passing, rebounding or just pure shut down defense, but i know if you take the hippos lightly, you are walking away with a loss.

i am not sure how to handle the upcoming gladiator game.. i think bains needs to win it more than the dreamers do at this stage, and HCA is a major boost for him. However we also need to win as many games as we can to maximise our chances.

It is a very wide open comp at the moment.. i dont think any team is the favorite.. whilst all the talk is 'dreamers and gladiators' the Thunder are cruising along under the radar still undefeated, and be high is an ever present threat in the red side..

unlike last season, this season is most definitely not a 2 horse race.

i am having a shocker of a season.... stuffed my minutes up for a 2nd week in a row, tried to set lineup on the phone and it didnt work.

could be a long season at this rate

i still dont expect you to sit back and let me take the win.. not by any stretch of the imagination :P

Our league is down to 10 in the cup already, not looking like we can dominate this season.

Well, I kind of disagree...

Looking on the Blue, Hippos is tanking and the DivII demotee doesnt show enough interests at the early stage. This left the Thunders climbing up the ladder early and having some good games. However with the squad they have now they need to try harder to beat either the Dreamers or the Gladiators (no offence tigertills), only if they have enough cash to bring some guns in (they might have loads of cash!). OK so the Thunders will be the X-factor this season, depending on how the playoffs sits out he will have a big impact in the Blue. But as long as im concerned, this season's GF should be a match-up of Dreamers/Gladiators Vs Be High.

And to support my theory of "winner coming from the Blue", i will be talking about Be High, the most-likely champ from the Red. Despite getting into the playoffs in III.12 for the last 8 seasons and 3 times in the GF, Be High has not been constructing his team to be the "better" or "favourite" side of the battle except for the massive areana size XP. Like Bainsy said last season Be High has not been as much a threat to the contender in the Blue. He might have lots of cash down in the bank, but with no efficient trainee at the moment he will need to do a lot to match the other team's improved trainees.

The rest of the Reds, just ants to the elephants :P

So here you go at this moment of time I still believe either The Dreamers or The Gladiators will be the one this season.

I mostly agree but slowly SBV is warming up. Don't know if it will be enough but they are a lot stronger than 2 weeks ago. Also I was looking at my cup opponent and in his league there is a team called Mad C***s but without the stars. I kid you not.
