I have no idea, it's been months since I've used any PS3 online things. I will have a look at let you know, though.

You can believe it or not, it is up to you. Actually once you get the details it is a lot less impressive than the headlines, this is usually the case in the real newspapers too.

Melbourne Tigers I played for only as a junior on the rep team. I guess the big up was it was Lindsay Gaze that recruited me, saw me playing for my school team (undefeated for 2 years) at Old Albert Park and got two of us to come to the Tigers. Andrew Gaze was playing at the same time and funny I can remember someone saying he wasn't that good, he was just the coach's son. Ha, maybe Australia's best ever. Once he stole my ball. I still want it back.

Victoria and Australia I did play for but not in Basketball, it was Handball a much lower level sport in Australia obviously, in fact I was one of only two "Aussies" on the team, almost everyone else was an ex-pro from Europe. But I did get to go to on two free international trips to try and qualify for the olympics. If we had made it I would still be calling myself an olympian! Ha! Still got my old Victoria and Australia tracksuits hanging up in the closet.

Sadly I have had the most stupid run of injuries ever, a bit like my BB team last season, I have had operations, hundreds of treatments but I am wrecked. I haven't played anything for 6 months, I am in pain all the time, and I get fatter and more unfit by the day, and even though my specialist is an expert who has worked for the AFL and Netball Australia they just can't fix me. Call me Gred Oden!

Long story. I'm not after any sympathy or anything, I am very happy with my sporting career, I would like to at least play some casual pickup ball some time in the future. Ever played at Venice Beach? (White Men Can't Jump.) I have thrown down a couple there!

With regard to sarcasm, I am sarcastic 90% of the time so sorry if it doesn't travel well with you, that is just the way I am.

Damn, that's pretty cool. I'd have loved to have played representative sport, even for a lower-level sport. I play div 1 tennis, but that's about as good as it gets for me.

Also, as far as the sarcasm, I think what he meant was more that it's hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic on a forum, rather than him not liking it, so he wasn't sure if you were being genuine about the representative stuff.

Absolutely spot on Marmy RE the sarcasm - I just couldnt believe what I was reading!

I believe you Chelsea, I am well impressed. PS - if anyone was trying to impress me, they would mention three things. Basketball/Handball?White Men Cant Jump.

WMCJ is by FAR my fav all time film, my mates and I quote it on a daily basis. I rattled off Gloria's winning and losing globule speech to my boss today, she was not impressed.

On the basketball front, I had it in my head that you were a much younger baller. Man, the fact that you played under Lindsay Gaze is WELL impressive, dont sell yourself short. And handball? I freaking LOVE that game! Were you playing in 2000? I went and watched all the Aussie games, ha, we got belted but its such an amazing sport. I wish it would grow in australia, throwing and catching seems to be what we do best, and its such an amazing high paced sport. I am hell impressed. There is a small Perth league here (where I am) but it seems to be dominated by 1 group of mates who dont really have a lot of time for outsiders. I am thinking of playing again this summer, I love it.

Do you have any links for your handball ahievements? Like, if you were in the national squad there must be something out therE?

My story is just rep basketball all my life, then state league reserve. Never played in the state league, knees couldnt hack it. But love the game and play almost every day...

Marmy, you played against any big names in your tennis career?

I only played at Venice Beach for one day but also being a major fan of the movie it was one of the things I most wanted to do during my 4 days in LA and it was awesome. So many freaks and wierdos but also so many amazing ballers. I started way out on one of the back courts but after a few hours a few people had seen me play and while I wasn't amazing by their standards I was good enough to eventually get a run on the main court which was just a fantastic feeling. Luck I was fairly injury free at the time so I represented Oz quite well.

I just did a quick search on Handball and I can't find a single refrence to me. It is sad, it has all vanished. After all if it isn't on the internet it doesn't exist right? I sent an email to the old NT coach (he is still out there in cyberspace) and maybe he can direct me to something.

You should give it a try. The feeling of flying through the air and throwing the ball brutally into the net is just amazing! I knew a few people on the 2000 Olympic team but sadly by then (10 years ago I know) I was already a wrecked cripple. I really thought about trying to make a comeback but I knew my body just wasn't up to it. :(

Knees are very badly designed. I have had a lot of issues with mine. Only one operation but lots and lots of treatment over the years. Ice used to be part of my daily ritual.

The Chelsea Seagulls would like to announce the newest member of our team, just before the trade cutoff and direct from the NBBA where he played for many seasons including making the semi-finals one season, Eugenio Pisanu. Considering his contribution to an NBBA team we are sure he will be fine here in division III.11.

He's good, yeah.... but he's not a patch on my new guy.

You're just lucky that we're not playing you in the playoffs!

Incidentally, has anyone found anyone decent in their draft pool? I have obviously spent pretty big and am very disappointed with the results - a lot of 5 ball current players, but their potentials are awful.

I suspect that after an entire season of single position training Sam Clune is going to be a dominator for you next season. Shouldn't you be actually starting to pick up a couple of guys now? They are super cheap at the moment, then again the trend has been down down down all season. Guys I bought at FANSASTIC bargain prices at the start now look really overpriced. Then again if the market springs back to normal you could be paying up to double for those division winning big men.

I really want another season into my other trainees (O'Daire has had an average of more than 1 pop a week!) before I started to try to dominate. But, with the price of players so low, I really am considering just going for it now. I dunno :P
