I think another thing you're not looking at is the demise of some of the teams in II.1. As a league, obviously at the top level we're not as strong as we were last season. With the demise of Shibuya, the supposedly best team in the league is up for grabs. My money's on OUR side of the shark-tank - I think Shikoku and Sapporo are the best two teams in II.1 at the moment.

I do not usually write much in the forum, but read everything you write. Analyzing this season, I think the league is up to 7 teams: Fumoffu, Otaku, Zenigata, aisteru, Northern Kyushu, Kyoto Shogun and my team. For these teams believe there is no best time to climb the JBBL. We were lucky that the team that got off the JBBL left the game. Wait one more season to climb the JBBL would risk being down a team with high level.
Zenigata is reserving every weeks for the cup, and i think think with Otaku are favorites. Logically to the playoffs is a long way, and my intention will be the first of the conference. Next week i'll play vs Zenigata, and then I'll have an idea of where I can get this season. I have no other objective in mind other than to climb this season, so I will do my best to do :). Good luck for everyone!

I agree with what you say, but I think there are two tiers within that group of 7. I'd definitely place myself in the second (lower) tier - unfortunately, I'm not quite ready yet.
I'd say Fumoffu/Otaku/Zenigata/Sapporo are clearly top level, and aisteru/Kyoto/my team are behind 'em.
Fumoffu/Zenigata/Otaku still have the cup, which makes games interesting - but unless they can pull off some mighty big upsets, that'll end this week. Which will let them focus on league games.

I'd say I'm still a season away from being a true contender (and there are probably a few in the same boat as me).
It's definitely nice to be more competitive this season tho'.

Hello all!

Thank you for contributing to a great forum. I've been busy for a while and came back to see many recent discussions. I am happy to see the competitiveness in G8 conference and definitely the managers of the top 6 teams in G8 are doing very well in improving their teams.

At beginning of the season I had a feeling Shibuya will go bot and now it has come true. This season's championship could belong to any playoff contending team. At the end of the day, the person with home court will have a bigger chance at winning. If Otaku can be flawless on the way back, he will definitely has a bigger chance of winning in the play off final than I do. Good luck to everyone.

Sheesh...
My fanbase is difficult to satisfy! Had my first ever overall 5-ball rating after my last away game win, then I win by 83 points at home, in a TV game... and it drops to 4.5!
Go figure!

Hello to all who have spoken.

I think you are right. There are the big 4, the little 3 and the rest. One of the rest could easily be sitting on a fortune having saved for seasons and with millions in the bank but I don't know how I could really know that without spending a long time looking at their history. I do think that teams like Terry Bogard will be very dangerous one day. But here is a little snapshot of our league history.

Big 8 Position/Name/Season started
1 fumoffu platoon 12
2 zenigata gangs 11
3 dhods 16
4 aisteru.4ever 9
5 Baikinman 14
6 楽しい 11
7 小野 洋子 15
8 East Tokyo United 16

Great 8 Position/Name/Season started
1 Shikoku Otaku 13
2 Sapporo Fighters 13
3 Northern Kyushu Raman Kings 14
4 Kyoto Shogun 14
5 Terry Bogard 14
6 TeamJapan 12
7 haloteam123 16
8 Kokubunji Dodoscos 16

So teams like Shikoku Otaku and Sapporo Fighters are just one season up on Northern Kyushu Raman Kings and me. Once we build our arena our trainees come of age and we are ready to make a hard push I think we will narrow the game very rapidly. However maybe for the noodles it will be next season for me it will be at the soonest season 18. By then with luck Daisaku will be a $40,000 dominator and Noritada will not be far behind. I will still have Kurogane so will have 3 starters in place and be ready to add two big expensive imports to make a run at the JBBL. Long plan but my 3 key players are aged 26, 20 and 19 so there is no hurry.

This season just expect every 10 days to see another 1,000 seats added to Nijo Castle and hopefully a win over the Ramen Kings so we can take our place in 3rd spot.

Sheesh man, painting me as "the same as you" is a stretch. Sure, I came here in S14, but only for the last game of the season (which, by the way, was a beat down administered by YOU!) - and I picked up easily the worst team in II.1!
I regard this as being my 'second season'.

I love that we have a good rivalry happening! It's going to take more than a win over me - I'm now two games ahead of you (tho' Fumoffu's coming up!)!

Well... that sucked.
I expected to do a lil' better than that. I thought my bigs would have been clearer winners, and your guards would win the day overall.
