And if this one game is the study im not sure if i'd say it is a large enough sample for an accurate study of how it actually works.

Exactly, 1 game is not a study. It's a laugh. :)

The ball was punctured? I can't really imagine a fully inflated ball to get stuck there..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc17LOb6n-Q like that, it is rare but not so rare i believe i saw it 2-3 times at higher level and at least in europe the shot clock shouldn't reset like in this video there(something i noticed in the mentioned game, before that i also expected a reset but the rules was on the ref side)

Shooting fouls are counted as shot attempts in this game but not in real life. So there are small glitches here and there. They don't really bother me.

This is not true. I watch every game with boxscore open and when shooting foul occurs, missed shot is not accounted in the stats.

Moutlinho already straightened me out on this- it is as viewer problem. In the viewer a missed shot with a foul stills shows up with an x, making it look like a shot attempt. It is not recorded int he stats.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Shot blocking is underrated and certainly ups your teams inside defense rating.

Bossesofbosses is the biggest believer in SB that I know and always jokingly suggests that managers train their trainees SB to legendary. If there is a player with legendary SB he probably owns him. I would send him a BB-mail and ask him which one of his players has the highest shot blocking skill and what the players defensive results have been.
