buying Sfs is a ripoff... just train them yourself... then you have a guy you like there... and to top off, SFs always sell for mint money.

BREAKING NEWS

Mountain Eagles has just acquired Nicola Bongiovanni for $528,400.

"Is this the end of tanking as we know it?" asked a fan. "Italian yay! Good to finally see one on this team. Now that we've got him, are we marching for playoffs?" another fan exclaimed. Nicola Bongiovanni or "Bong" refereed to from some fans are quite happy to see him. Here is GM tough: "This is make or bust here. 24 years old, he's done pretty well up in Italy. Let's see how his talents are dealt with in the USA. He has the outside game. He's even better then Ye! More efficient driver, better passer, better shoot, and slightly better defender then Ye for just about the same salary! Shows that big things come in 'small' packages" he chuckled. Here is Bongi: "Excited to take my talents to H-Town. Been playing in Italy for a long time, I will miss their scenery but as a opportunity closes another one opens. This league is already packed with good guards, lets see how I compare to them." Will the Mountain Eagles go for someone else? Or will they just sit back and enjoy the nice situation they're in? We'll find out in weeks to come. This is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.

BREAKING NEWS

Mountain Eagles has just acquired Ye Mingjie for $609,200.

Here is GM tough: "F*** it. Let's just stop tanking. Now we got a good SF and a great SG. Now we'll be saving up for a beast PG and by then Cash and Sol will be ready to get into their new roles as a C and PF. It may take a while but we're committed to it. Right now, Let's just compete with this duo."

"PLAYOFFS! PLAYOFFS! LETS GO TO PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled a fan. "Another Ye has walked into town. THIS ONE looks like he's here to stay for a little bit." exclaimed another rabid fan. "It's about damn time we got some good, young vets. Now they can get us closer into being a REAL team and not a bunch of vets that are about to retire. Time for us to march into domination!"

Here is the new Ye: "I know the other Ye. We used to go to the same College. We had some good times. I also know the USA very well after playing for Valhalla ! For a few seasons. This stint should be a good one and I hope I can help the team make playoffs and maybe win a championship. Go Eagles!"

Here is Rufus Cash: "Yes. Now we can actually be a good team and train and win at the same time hopefully. Sol and I will try to get ourselves better with time, so let's hope we can make playoffs to get more experience there."

Here is coach Steven Wilson: "Took time for us to get some new guys. Now that we do have new guys, let's utilize them to the best of their ability for a long time. We got 2 great guys that have at least 4 seasons together. Nicola could help us for 8 seasons while Ye can help us for 3 or 4. Let's go and win some! Go Eagles!"

There you have it. Mountain Eagles are now going to try to get their first win with the New YE and Bongi duo. Watch Saturday as they take on the Buzzard Eaters at Dodge Arena! This is Derek Alston, reporting for The Eagle.

Thought you were tanking? Ahhh great guy. Should have got him before the cup game you lost!

This dude is a mack.... between him and "instant offense" you should be a solid scoring team again.

Eagles Return..........

The Mountain Eagles have returned and are actually playing for real. It started on Saturday as the Eagles beat the Almdudlers by a score of 109-92. Ye Mingjie was big for the M Eagles, as he gone on fire twice! He ended with 30 points and 5 rebounds. Rufus Cash has been improving a lot for team and he showed why on Saturday. He had 21 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, and 1 block. "It's all about the practicing" said the Sophomore: "I've been practicing my outside game a lot as of lately. Now it looks like it's starting to pay off. I will try each week to get better at my shooting game so I can score more and contribute along with Bongiovanni and Mingjie." Bongiovanni also had a stellar game, with the load off of him a little, he was able to get a double double, with 23 points, 10 assists, and 3 steals to top it off. "I've never thought of this. I've never thought of me being the star of IV.29. I was always playing in Italy and I've never really played with anyone else other then my Italian team. This first season in the USA is turning out well for me. I hope to contribute more to the team's success and lead them into the playoffs." Here is a little fact about the game: Cash, Bongiovanni, and Mingjie combined for 74 points and 19 assists, which doubled the rest of the Eagle's points (35). Eagles are now 9-7 and are in a real fight for the playoffs. Watch them take on the Gotham Reckoners at 7 PM Tuesday. For The Eagle, this is Alex Trefante reporting.

Bongiovanni Rises Up

Another game in the books for the Mountain Eagles as they win 123-93 against a very good El Puerco Grande Squad. Player of the game was Nicola Bongiovanni, who was literally destroying Grande. In the paint. From outside. From downtown; just anywhere. Bongiovanni had 34 points in the first half but then got his 6 assists and 9 points in the 2nd half. Here is Bongiovanni: "Well I had to help the team win, we're in a playoff situation. In order to win someone had to step up and rise. I did; I took control of my team in the 2nd quarter and we never looked back. I really liked our teamwork and our ability to pass even through Grande's Press Defense. Those 43 points were all from teamwork. Teamwork will win the games for us down the stretch; if we can have good teamwork, we're going to the playoffs, plain and simple. Great game today and let's win to the playoffs." Here is GM tough: "He was destructive in the 2nd quarter! I mean, he couldn't gone cold at all; he scored 11 of our first points in the 2nd quarter and he just slapped Grande in the face. He was the difference for us. Someone had to bring their A-Game and Bongiovanni did. He stood up and put the team on his back when it counted. Our team as a whole played very well today. Tomilin, Cash, Sol, New Ye, and Bongiovanni helped us win, as well as Mykyta. All of them went in double digits. I hope to see more of this great teamwork from the team for games to come." Anatoly Tomilin played great during the game, getting 20 boards and 17 points, along with 6 assists. "The team played well today, especially #5 [Bongiovanni]. I just passed the ball to him and he made the shot. I contrivuted well on the boards and our paint game was very good today. If we can have more games like this then we will be able to clinch a playoff berth. We just have to remain focus and get 3rd place, as that's our only chance to do something." Here is Sol Scarborough, who contributed with 12 points and 7 boards. "Not much of a great day for me, but I did contribute to the team's success and to winning the game. That's what counts. I thought I played great vs. Akhmadov seeing he is a great player and such. I will keep on developing my game into becoming a great center someday to that I will beat players like Akhmadov easily ;)." Some facts about the Eagles' 123-93 win: 57%; percentage of the Eagles' Shooting, which is very high for them; haven't had that in a while. 6; Players in double figues [Bongiovanni, Tomilin, New Ye, Cash, Sol, Mykyta] 16.0; rating of Bongiovanni.

Well there you have it, another vital win for the Mountain Eagles as they move on to 11-7. Watch them take on Rum Ham on Tuesday. This is Todd McManion reporting for The Eagle

Eagles acquire Jaak Pold; Says team is "Ready"

Mountain Eagles last night acquired talented Guard Jaak Pold for about 160k. Here is GM tough: "I think this buy will help us greatly. He'll bring the charisma to the bench that we mightily need. He'll be our 6th man. He can be our Ray Allen type shooter, or he can dish it to other players for an easy shot. I can see him being a very productive 6th Man for this team. I think this team is ready to promote. I can see the light. We have Liontos, Bongiovanni, Mingjie. Then we also have great young big men in Rufus Cash and Sol Scarborough. By the end of the season they should improve greatly and be ready to compete with the big guys of the league. I think this team has what it takes to win it all." Here is Bongiovanni: "Great guy, I remember him a little back in my teenage years, seeing him play for good teams. I think he'll fit very well with us and give us the charisma and athleticism off the bench. I think he can be a player that can make bad players turn into good players on the stats." Here is Rufus Cash: "ooooo I like this guy. Just played with him at practice today and he rocked me badly. He'll be beast for us. He WILL be our 6th Man, and a great one at that. Also he can be a guy I can pass to."

So there you have it, are the Eagles ready? Can they promote? We will have to find out. This is Todd McManion reporting for The Eagle.

Last night, the Mountain Eagles were taking on the El Puerco Grande in one of the biggest matches of the season. In the locker room tough said, "Ok guys, this is gonna be a big matchup for us. We need to win this. I know we are capable of doing just that so go out there, play hard, and fight for the win with everything you have. On the count of three, 1................2..............3...............LETS GO MOUNTAIN EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the Mountain Eagles gone out there and fought hard in the game, leading to a 97-84 win against them. Player of the game was Gerasimos Liontos who has 25 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Another key player of the game was Sol Scarborough, who has been playing great for these two game; today he had a double double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. he also had 3 steals and 1 block. Tomilin also had a double double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. He also had 5 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. New guy Jaak Pold had a great debut for the Eagles, having 6 points and 4 assists coming off the bench. "I like the way we played today." exclaimed Bongiovanni. "We were able to get the win even with us not having our best days. I had a rough dy going against Marone but the coach told me to hold him back in the assists, and I sure did. I think that Gerasimos was good for us today. I also like the way Sol played. We played a tough team and hats off to them for keeping the game entertaining. But we got the win and thats all that matters." "I had to step up big. I did. I played like a real big man today. I was albe to get my rebounds and my points in the paint. It was a good day for me and for my teammates. I hope we have more days like this in the future." stated Sol. "We're a playoff team. We showed why today. Even when our best player is down in the dumps the rest of us pulled through and were able to score and rebound and share the ball. 24 assists today ain't bad at all." said Rufus Cash, who had 6 points and 4 rebounds and a assists coming off the bench. "Great play today by the men. We're now 1st place in the Great 8 with a good lead right now. Lets go for the next win crew." stated coach Steven Wilson. "Ok, our acquisition was great for us today. I wish he had had more playing time, but ok we got the win. Even though Bongiovanni wasn't that much of a factor for us, we got the win through other players. Scarborough was great today. Liontos was good. The bench contributed some. We got the W, thats all we need."

Mountain Eagles are now 2-0 in the Great 8 and are the best of the best. Go and see the Mountain Eagles take on the Buzzard Eaters on Saturday at Dodge Arena! This is Todd McManion reporting for The Eagle.
