Well, I have nothing against that.

I think it would add a touch of realism and a bit more depth to the game shape aspect of the game. Anyhow, I explained it pretty thoroughly in one of the forum day threads.

It only raises the value of stamina. That is not good. What will happen to those players with inept stamina? Train stamina 1 season then start training something else? It's ment to be hard to do well both in league and in cup. If you have a strong team coming up in cup then you have to manage minutes by "throwing" a league game.

Just for the record, stamina should go from inept to strong in 4-5 weeks, not a full season.

Depending on if you want to play 3 games a week with starters or not.
It would create a lot of hassle anyway. With training stamina for your team. Selling backups and buying low stamina backups for game shape management. What if you decide to train youngsters after cup. Game shape dropping for the whole team. Starters that need 3 games for GS now can play 2 etc.

Most people seem to think stamina is currently a useless skil, anyways. In fact, I would go further and say that anything over inept in stamina has questionable benefits.

Also, I rarely see a difference in price on the transfer list for players between awful-prominent stamina.

The two-time defending MVP of the NBBA and the perennial rating leader in the NBBA both have proficient stamina, and it definitely helps their performance.

I think stamina helps performance.

But I believe the point newchuck was trying to make is that if there is such a big adventage in performance when moving from 4 to 8, because, when you consider the cost of 3/4 weeks of training to improve stamina compared with the benefits of improving other skills when you already have stamina 4; asking if those next 4 levels would really improve(I mean some important increment) your overall performance when compared with 2 key skills in 2/3 players in performance AND market valuation.

I wouldn't train stamina solely for one player's benefit.

Since everyone loses some stamina every week, when you do train it (usually those rare 2 game weeks), it's always helpful.

Sure. That is why I talked about "overall performance" compared to "2 key skills in 2/3 players".

The thing discussed is not if "sometimes" is helpful to train stamina, but the effect of training stamina when you already have a stamina of , say, 4 and want to improve to 7/8; the cost of doing it and what would be better in terms of performance (for both player and team point of view).

We all know stamina will help. But there are two things we are talking now: 1) How much will help? 2) Does stamina have a decreasing impact along their levels?
