Just be careful.. there are a few tough Div IIIs now.. and it may take a bit longer to bounce back up then expected. Especially if starting with a young team.

These type of games have always been about plans, and following through on them. It's rare to luck into success, unless you happen to be an old guard NBBA team that began in the NBBA and now am established there, so they'll basically have to quit in order to demote from the NBBA. Good luck in finding a strategy that you're happy with and keeping at it. Probably will take some patience, the type of patience I'm not sure that I have.

Sounds like you have a nice patient plan with those 19 yo PGs

Could be that he isn't trying to create a good II team given that he is going to relegate. He needs to build a good young team that can win in III and eventually promote stronger than what he has.

Seems a bit excessive but he is set up for the long haul.

Right on, except for the 'he' part.

If you look at the best NBBA teams they all seem to have always had a plan. I'm just trying to come up with a plan too! :)

Hope you're not including me in that list. I haven't had a plan in a while. :)

Until this season, my plan involved training 26 year olds. :P

Now I'm training a 23 year old and 26 year olds. :)

It's a plan that seems to have worked quite well for a while now.

sans postal, the leagues this year have impressive parity, 11-10 advantage for the great 8.

of course thats not entirely fair to say, so lets call it 14-10 great 8

then again, the great 8 has its own problems. i think i move into 3rd with an underwhelming 5-5 record.

the good news is that would have me avoid the buzzsaw for at least 1 round with a tough but winnable game against the quakers (a team i have respected since their storied run to the cup finals like 8 seasons ago)

I'm still grumpy about the Quakers beating me in the cup in season 5.

Hehe. Fortunately, I haven't found anything to distract me from this game over the past 2.5 years. :)
