Got this from the help forum -- Argentina Cup finals season 15: (32409714) Both teams forfeited & each only got a silver trophy! So there was no winner effectively.

Also this: (23028923) The score is 0-0. & yeah, home team got credit for a win. But.. the 5th place team played in the relegation game!! (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/league/212/overview.aspx?seas...) Yet they still picked behind the 6th place team in the draft. So it's a win, but it's not a win. Except when it's a win.

Interesting. For the cup finals example, the 'home' team got "In season 15, El Matador de Victoria won the Copa Argentina" in their team history.

That one where the 5th place team played in relegation is really freaky though. It looks like the 6th place team got the 5th place free pass slot. Seems like a bug?? But it was 3 seasons ago so who cares.

And I'm not so sure you will lose, I beat you pretty bad last season but that was at home and on more effort. I think your team has improved more than mine in the interim It should be a painfully low scoring game where anything can happen~

Didn't see the team history page before. But on the *main* page for El Matador it says: "Copa Argentina Runner-up, Season 15" (when you put your mouse over their trophy)

The other might not be a bug. Because both teams each won 9 "real" games. & the 5th place team forfeited 1 more game than the 6th place team. So maybe when 2 teams forfeit... it's only a "fake" win for the home team? That explains why El Matador didn't get the trophy either.

Not sure what will happen. That fancy new C you picked up worries me. But other than that, just don't think I can match your starters. You've got 4 players making over $50k & I've only got 1. Worst match-up: your staring SF makes $58k, while mine makes $13k, lol.

Yeah but your players (and team, for that matter) put up ratings as good as mine. If you weren't carrying 18 guys for some reason, it'd be easy to say you've built a better team than me

We both know the real matchup to watch is Ilmar vs. Beda for sideline reporter / PR aide.

Nice win. It was 2 vs. 1: me and the refs vs. you, lol. GL in the next round.

haha, I was 100% sure you would play look inside. Remember reading somewhere that EDH Wolves said 3-2 zone was a really bad idea against LI. Figured you'd win anyway, so wanted to test it... Wow, shocked you only had 83 points with 1 minute left! (before the intentional fouling & my 3pt shooting clinic.) 3-2 zone vs LI doesn't seem so awful after all. certainly way better than 2-3 zone vs motion..?

Why are you such a bully shikago? I'm scared to play you again...although with the way my team is playing now we might combine for 60 PFs.

Forreal, I started worry whether I'd have players left for crunch time.

I've had mixed results with 3-2 vs. LI. Back when I had a real team, I used to 3-2 a lot and even vs. LI it was fine. Then I replaced all my Cs with younger, weaker ones, and all of a sudden 3-2 was TERRIBLE vs. LI. In your situation, obviously LI is alright. I didn't shoot the lights out or dominate the boards, just barely got enough to win.

At least the fouls got spread around. Better than if 1 or 2 of your starters fouled out in the 1st half. Wow, I got absolutely destroyed in the team & matchup ratings too.

I guess that makes sense about the 3-2 zone. Hmm, seems like it would be deadly if a team had a couple of monster defensive Cs. You would effectively kill all 3pt scoring by the other team & still more than hold your own inside?

@GM-Jelme
I always find a way to lose on the road... Got a bad feeling about my team post AS break too. With the Great 8 this strong, you going undefeated the rest of the way would actually help me out.

Personally I think 3-2 zone is better in the game engine than M2M is. M2M gets higher overall ratings, but inside defense is worth a lot less to me than outside. Maybe I'll reshape my team a bit in that mold in the near future.

-----------------------------------------

Round 8 Matchups

NBBA
- nil -

Div II
EDH Wolves (23598) vs. Bruno's Fighting Grizzlies (23219) (home)
Shock Wave (23140) vs. Kiwi Sheep Pimps (22913) (home)
Contortionists (23174) vs. Walker Wiggles (28558) (home)
Hunterkirualeorio (23489) at Chi Chi Bandits (22857) (away)

Div III
Visionaries (29656) vs. Ron Swanson All-Stars (29864) (home)

Div IV
- nil -

Div V (what?)
Swampdonkeys (28369) vs. Mo City Dons (30050) (home)

A bit of a mixed bag here. Swampdonkeys makes the most amazingly luck pull I've ever seen, a home game vs. a D.V team that's coming off a CT. Wow! Visionaries get a pretty nice matchup too, and Hunter draws probably the weakest remaining D.II team but has the only road game of the week.

Shock Wave has a tough but winnable game against Kiwi Sheep Pimps. Contortionists get a must-win vs. Walker Wiggles, because that guy should be banned for his team logo. It's hideous.

I'm giving game of the week to EDH, our league leader at 12-1 going up against another perennial D.II team in Bruno's Fighting Grizzlies (formerly the Phoenix Blue Suns). Phoenix has been in II.4 since Season 6 and this is his 5th trip this deep into the cup. EDH has been in II.3 since Season 9 and is making his 7th cup run this deep, so it's rather an old-guard matchup. Phoenix eliminated EDH from the cup in Season 9 so you know know EDH is out for revenge! Right!?
