At a maximum there will be 8 ABBL teams left in the final 32, a maximum of 7 teams if you could flatten the Pancakes

well ive got a Div III team with 10 players and probably no chance of them having good gameshape.

so ill see 32 of you in rnd 6.

I've got a match up with a division 2 team that should be interesting, fortunatelly I've got a couple of easy games leading into it so I can preserve my starters and i have a stronger team this time versus the last time I faced a higher ranked time plus I will have the option of crunching, so I should see you in the final 32.

One of either Dire or the Immortals, wont be in the final 32.

Who ever wins that game, just might be favourite to win this seasons cup

Thought Id field a market for the cup.

Winner of next weeks BLS v Immortals game will be favourite as of next week, but because they are playing each other this week, Ive eased them a bit in the odds.


5 to 2 - Hopelessly Addicted, Koops
7 to 2 - BLS
4 to 1 - Immortals
5 to 1 - Pancakes
6 to 1 - YPB & Fishy
14 to 1- Brisvegas Spurs
33 to 1 - Home Axis
15 to 1 - A former ABBL team which is currently in Div II (dont have to specify which one)
33 to 1 - A current Div II teams that hasn't previously been to the ABBL (dont have to specify which one)
250 to 1 - A Div III team

Probably a bit tight on Koops, but I couldnt have my own team as a clear favourite

My gut feel is that Dire will win with Koops the danger

Because of the nature of the cup where half the teams will be knocked out each week and the luck of the draw as to who the winners will oppose the following week, this market would be extremely volatile to the extent that the book would close at the start of play on a Thursday night and would have to be recalculated after the draw for the following week is announced, before it was to open again.

Ofcourse any major purchases of beasts and or injuries to key players, would also require the odds to be recalculated

BLS has won 8 from 10 cup finals. We have not seen the best from them so far this season in any comp, and I cant wait too see just how good they can be.

It would be an epic battle if the 2 of you were to meet in the final. Your D alone is great, and to be top of the ABBL, and still be in the cup makes you very strong. Seems like BLS is more focused on cup though. Therefor, I'd put both you guys as equal favs seeing that there will be no HCA.

Dire robbed me I the quarters in the year I thought I'd get the Cup. Did me by 5 points ANC I think I was the only team that got within 20 points of him for the entire cup.

I have a love hate relationship with it in that I either pay 0 attention to it of have a crack at get heartbroken. I've had 1 appearance in the semis & four trips to the quarters. The year I got rolled by llama in the semis the other semi featured a div 3 team. If only the draw was more favourable!

The draw can be a bitch at times. I vaguely remember that season hoping like hell that I got the div 3 team in the semi, and being gutted when Whitebeard got him.

Though I have a hate hate relationship with the cup this season, after being knocked out in a game I had no right to lose...

The Cup draw gods can definitely be fickle bastards at times. Some seasons you breeze through to the semis without facing another div2 or abbl team and other seasons you have to fight through all div2 and abbl teams right from the start.

I dunno, to me it just doesn't seem right when you see a div3 team still in the mix all the way through to the semis simply because they've had a lucky draw of nothing but bots and other div 3 or div4 teams.

On the other hand, it does feel like much more of an achievement if you are able to get through and run the gauntlet of one of the unlucky draws and still manage to take out the Cup (but boy does your league standing suffer!)
