The BuzzerBeater's Best tournament on the other hand doesn't seem to have as heavy a weight. I have not really studied this, only made some limited observations based on my country's ranks. Obviously the top ranked teams in the world are probably those who do well in BBB, but winning a game or two in the international competition doesn't guarantee you a top 2 country rank even if you continue to do well in the league and the national tournament.
My world rank went up by about 20 positions (from around 60 to 37 at its best) after I won 2 games in BBB even though my season has been pretty average so far, so it definitely improved my chances of holding onto my country rank. So, I would perhaps change my earlier statement a bit. Even one win in BBB makes a difference.
