Yeah, he does average over 10 ppg in league competition though.

But you are right, both of my best guards struggled in that cup game. They shot a combined 4-33.

My other guard has skills of:

[USA]
Douglas Siegel (9213020)
Point Guard
Owner: Mad Nyce

Weekly salary: $ 5 141

DMI: 11800
Age: 20
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: average

Jump Shot: average Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: proficient Handling: average
Driving: respectable Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: pitiful Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: atrocious Free Throw: inept

Experience: atrocious

What type of training should I work on..strictly PG or PG/SG. From what I've been reading training just one position is more productive than two positions.

Hi, I recommend One to One training, which increase DRI primary, and JS and HAN pop up often. Second alternative is Jump Shot, but I think that Allen don´t need JR pops if you play inside, I think JR=7 is sufficient. I think that Passing is not good training for him, because passing isn´t so important (in my opinion) in BB game engine, and passing is heavily waged in salary of PG.

For my PG's I also trained up outside defense first, then i moved to passing/one on one (changing after 2 weeks). This will raise all important skills for PG's. After you reach a certain level of passing, you can then choose if you want them to be pure passers or switch to jump shot/more one on one training.

I'm training 5 players on 2 positions, but obviously if you only have 2 training players, you should train 1 position.

i would rate it like that:

A: Outside defence, passing
B: Handling, Jumpshot
C: Jump Range, Driving
D: Rebound
E: other C skills

With a small step betwenn A and B, and a pretty big one betwen C and D

my opinion:
1, OD
2, JS, ID
3, JR, DRI
4, HAN
5, PAS, STA, FT
6, REB
7, IS, BLK

many PG try to do driving (on look specially), in this way you need ID, and in this way you need DRI too ... PAS isn´t good - low contribution to scoreboard and big weight in salary ... and which level of PAS is ideal? such as on turning point of PG/SG.

You get much better results by rotating training then by hammering the same skill for weeks in a row (so you've shot yourself in the foot a little bit

Now this is the kind of thing I was talking about when I opened a thread about a guidebook.

If you read the training speed analysis threads, you never see anything like that, just the like of this:

Pressure
PG:
Trains OD @ 2 weeks
Trains ID @ 8+
Trains HN @ 8+
Trains DV @ 8+

Reading that, I, at least, figured you had to train Pressure 2 weeks in a row in order for it to be effective.

because it ain't a think you could generally say, i believe in the training speed thread there is quote or comment about that skills train faster when connected skills are higher, and the overall training speed would be the best if you train balanced because of this. I normally look for trainees, who had the "same" weaknesses and train this skill for a long time.

Edit: ok this information is missing, but it is also really hard to make a complete starter guide, which had to be compact and also shouldn't miss information.

It´s a point of view, but i prefer a PG with best Passing, Handling and Driving before than Jump Shot and Jump Range(if i had to choose).
