awesome - out due to my own carelessness. will play some more cup rounds (to ensure full training) and prepare for next season.

that's gotta be the earliest you've ever been out of BBB by a long shot. i guess your stuck with beating on Canadian teams for the next 2 months. ;)

Have to admit that the difference between teams is very small now, and you have to make some progress if you want to be the champion again.

Sorry to see you went out. This is a great example of a look inside that worked, though! I have been looking for one. The pts per 100 say that the result was fair, too.

You got killed in rebounding, too. Take a look at your SF match-up... Can you say that rebounding is no longer important for SFs? Actually, if you look at Thomas's rebounding performance against England yesterday, I think the book is closed on that one. He also dragged the team rebounding rating down by about a full level.

i will just say that due to an inadvertent error on my part, instead of having romagnoli defend as a centre (and the extra rebounding and defending that goes with that), my lineup had an inferior alavi as my defending centre - which would have greatly altered the points per 100. in addition, my strong rebounding guards were hurt or in foul trouble for most of the game. thus, i don't think that particular game can be reflective of anything.

but thomas will get some rebounding in the future ...

Yeah, I only looked at the box score for about 30 seconds, so I guess that's what I get. But for sure Thomas I would prefer Thomas to have a bit more rebounding. It was tough to watch England out-rebound us. I am probably exaggerating his impact, too, we did have some game shape issues for that game.

Thank you. Our Paraguayan friend has sent me some BB-mails telling me how relatively weak he is, but I'm having none of it. Any away B3 game is a reason for concern. I will be nervously watching (or possibly nervously wondering while not in front of a computer).

Oh my... it looks I've drawn the marquee matchup for round 2... World #18 vs World #9. jbmcrock starts at home vs the Kazakhstan double winners.
