Thanks.
So let's say an extra 2 pops per season on a 6 coach over a 4 coach, that would mean the difference between Respectable & a Proficient.
Wouldn't that times the two + seasons of fast gains, based on 18 & 19 year olds, then a slow down from 20 to 25, mean you could sign a team of 18yos & devlopment them through to challenge for the top spots, as long as they are at least Respectable in the needed areas for their positions at the start (18yo)? I believe a player is not very trainable at 25 or above.
You make great points here & i'm just playing Devils Advocate to gets some additional input. I'm certainly not questioning what your saying.
Thanks for your time.

If you are trying to train him for the NT or U21 or just to be a really really good player, and you can afford it, then by all means go for the level 6. This might pay off in 3 or 4 seasons time. But if you want to win games now, then I think level 4 is better because you still get pops at a decent speed, and you get to keep an extra million. Do that over 2 seasons and you have 2 million. Then maybe sell your trainee for a few million and use that 4 million to buy a great player and suddenly you could be top of your league. If you have 3 really good training prospects then by all means get the level 6 and make sure you do 1 position training only.

I think the benefit of a 6 coach is being greatly exagerated, and if put correctly ( Its probably 1 or 2 in rare cases on pops) then the decision becomes a lot clearer.

Running the examples above, a 1 Million saving on coaches against Respectable to Profcient

1 Million will buy you a player with Prolific at the main areas.

I would suggest that a financial threshold is crossed for a clubs weekly profit which would then make it the right decison to get a 6 coach, but moving to early for a 6 may take you backwards in your overall progress as a franchise

i would even go below that, and maybe make one week out of it, and for me they seem to be unecononic , at least i don#t need him even when i got/have high quality trainees ;)

Maybe you could do it about patriotic isssues.

i get the feeling the competition levels at the very highest levels are so intense that one or two extra pops (per season!) could be worth under the right circumstances perhaps one-half point a game -- get a couple more of these advantages (say, game shape, free throws, stamina, the HCA) and you have the margin of victory. Us mortals are not operating on such an intense level -- the level where improvements are so tiny, so incremental. At least some of those who are bidding up the coaches are looking for an edge, a tiny edge, and money does not matter.

at least, that would be my guess.

OK, Thanks for the input. I think I'll go for a 5 just to be on the safe side & let that play out for a season or so.

I have looked at your team and it seems you have purchased a lot of young players who arent that good.

I would suggest a 6 Coach to try and catch up in your league and maybe develop those players into something worthwhile!!!

Good Luck

I would respectfully disagree vehemently with Carl Future. Level 6 is unnecessary for 54000 teams in this game. Maybe more.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I dont believe you can pass such a generic view, it really depends on a case by case basis.

Pistons 3 are in the top division of Wales, with a Team that belongs in the 4th or 3rd Div in England. He has many youngstrs in his team and will be turning over a larger profit than in normal circumstances.

In this scenario he will need to try and catch up with the top teams in Div 1, and although he will lose around $60,000 per week by getting a 6 coach, I believe his finances would still allow him to make Good Money and have the benefit of a 6 Coach.

I do agree , a 6 Coach is not for everyone, infact not for the larger % of teams , however, there is a requirement and indeed it does make sence in some cases.
