I have to say, I don't get too upset when surprises occur (not saying that result was surprising, I haven't bothered to look, being self absorbed about my team and all). It'd be really boring if the results were always purely based on the better team. I like a bit of randomness, even when it smacks me right in the grill.

I feel unworthy considering Jelme considers me unworthy of any mention when it comes to the forums. But then again, daryk thinks I'm horrible, so it must be true.

I'm rather perturbed that no mention was made of lathrop or Toonces.

Everyone is missing the point though. I lost because my guys ran out of steam in the second half (and fouls and hca). What I'm bitching at is why do I play depth chart until the 4th when they don't follow the depth chart?

I just mentioned people that I have personal connections too. No offense to the others.

I'm not sure you lost because of depth. Could just be the game normalizing at the end.

I'm pretty sure that it's common knowledge that depth chart til 4th is a scam, and completely fails to do what it advertises it should.

Hell, even TUG pointed it out sometime last season, but I'm on my mobile right now & can't be bothered to dig up that discussion.

Interesting question.

My two guesses off hand, without thinkin' it through of course:

1) Your starters are that much better then backups, and the game solely takes that into account. The opposite being how tired a player is.. comparing the players maximum ability to current playing ability and basing the decision off that.

2) Coach decided that your starters were needed to win the game, and doesn't learn the object lesson.. but makes more money b/c of it.

Wait a sec, are those 2 basically 1? Man I'm tired.

Dug it up anyway. The link may be screwy though:

Edit: its not much of a discussion.

You do realize you are forgetting a bunch of other elements......hence it's never just the things you can control

GS, enthusiasm, PR guy, HCA, the GE is random enough where this is the 1 out of x result where the home team wins.....

Or maybe you are mis-reading the situation. You shot close to 46.8% (55.3% adjusted) in the first half compared to 38.2%(43.1% adjusted) for the game. Given the defensive ratings i put up and how your offensive ratings weren't lights out compared to it, 38% seems like the more typical % which implies to me your team overperformed in the first half, and was merely regressing to the mean in the second half.
