Thanks for all the replies. I think I will focus a lot more on OD than I had planned, and maybe a bit less on JR.

I hope to get him to this level in around 5 seasons.

Jump Shot: marvelous Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: sensational Handling: strong
Driving: tremendous Passing: proficient
Inside Shot: sensational Inside Def.: prominent
Rebounding: proficient Shot Blocking: awful

After two seasons of OD, JR and PA I will evaluate how likely and realistic it is to make a great SF, and if it's looking unlikely, I will then focus exclusively on his outside skills.
Either way, I hope he will be a great player for me by the time he's 25.

this is what I would do, though it is just a suggestion.

primarily, he is liability of defense right now, which makes training outside skills difficult.

so... if it were me, I would probably...

1) train rebounding to strong, ID to proficient, and IS to proficient (in this sequence so that you benefit from the secondary training)
2) why? - now you can play him at PF on defense rest of the way or at SF when using a 3-2.
3) train jump range to mediocre, while playing him at PF on D
4) train passing to proficient
5) why? now you can play him at PG on offense, and at PF on defense
6) train OD all the way to sensational
7) train JR all the way to proficient

and 8) train FT as soon as possible.

good luck whatever you do! :-)

Just an update if anybody is interested!

Jump Shot: sensational Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: prominent Handling: average
Driving: prolific Passing: strong
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: proficient
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: average Free Throw: pitiful

Currently I am training Outside Defence every week. How far do you think I should go? I was thinking tremendous or maybe even wondrous. After that I will train JR up to strong, IS and ID to prominent and then a bit of one on one and JS for forwards. Does anybody have any suggestions for a better plan?

Great player. My proposal would be to develop him as quickly as possible to level where he can be a starter in your team. For me that means:
- high level OD adequate for the shooters playing SF in your league: -> 14
-> reasonable ID to slow down the PFs playing SF and win the matchup even with moderate JS -> 10
-> Reb at 9/10 to contribute to the team
-> Passing/Handling at 9 better 10 to help him to find better solutions than just taking bad shots.

Only then I would build offensive quality. And keep in mind that IS is for free in SFs and often badly defended.

But whatever you do, it will help this player - just don't train too much jumpshooting.

Hello i have 1 very well rounded SF myself, although hes avg 8 because of his 6th man potential

i think u have to decide if hes an power SF or outside SF

personally i prefer the power SF because u can always find a SG acting as the outside SF
and increase the IS to 11(+3) is more powerful than range to 9 (+3)

reb 8 is fine, at most 9 can beat 999 SF in a thousand

Here is what you should do....train his OD to tremendous and then sell him to me for 2.5 million
You have 8 weeks of training left this season. Train in this order....OD, JR, OD, JR, OD, JS F, OD and then ID
after that sell him to me for 2.5 million
