Maybe the clock should have the seconds removed from it. The way it is right now, without detailed research in the forums how are you supposed to know that it is not the server time?

The clock has every look of being the official clock of the site, because it is a counting clock at the top of the page, so I don't fault the first poster for believing it to be official.

I dont have an opinion about your problem but yes i have to agree 100% indeed with the users who spoke about the Kamikaze bids....its really really frustrating, because you follow a player, bid for him, push for him, and when you think you are gonna get it them pum! kamikaze bid arrives! Then rebet, then another kamikaze, and then the push between you and the Kamikaze turns into a push between all who can and want to get them but didnt noticed him till a "kamikaze put it on the map".

Ok, I am ninja!
But.. ninja style works! And in this moments I can imagine the red face of my opponet, who refreshes the page every 5 seconds..

P.s. I'd recommend the Topicstarter to post it at Bugs forum next time.

Ninja style doesn't work though as it adds 3 minutes to the bidding no matter when you do it. The only thing you do by trying to snipe a TL auction is allow that much more time for someone else to find the auction that's about to end. You're better off being a ninja and bidding 2 seconds after the last bid so that an inattentive player won't check for the next couple minutes and miss out on the chance to counter bid.

Well as much as I agree that it seems like an "official" clock and everything is based on this "unofficial clock" something should change. I know for a fact and have checked numerous times that my games start when the "unofficial clock" strikes 08:00. On the other hand I have noticed and timed the clock to be 12 - 40 seconds faster than my computer and cell phone times on different occasions. Always faster though. As far as bidding do what your little heart pleases but if within 3 mins of end to auction it gets extended 3 mins so seems pretty pointless. When someone keeps raising the min of $1000 or whatever it may be I re-raise about $10,000 each time to let them know I'm not messing around and you are not going to get a cheap player so stop being a DB.

yes, it's no ideal situation that the clock isn't always 100% right. So yesterday when typing my post I thought about suggestnig to delete the clock in the upper right, but then again, I think it's not a good idea. It has it's use, and I think is a good contribution to the site.

Leaving away the mseconds might help.
OR maybe the tranferlist should mention timeperiods instead of timepoints. For instance: auction ends somewhere between 8:10 and 8:15

But then the ninja's would get angry.

and in a rare case that the clock gets more then 3 minutes off, that might still be a problem!

Maybe the best solution would be a countdown on the player page, but it might get off too I suppose, which would make matters worse.

So the best solution, in my opinion, would be: ...

... putting a line in the tranfer rules, to make sure to place your bid in time, and to NOT rely on the siteclock.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

i have noticed clock problems only when page loads slowly and when i use FF heavely for other pages, then there is times when clock in some BB tabs slows down a bit after it has loaded, or it is already late a sec or two after longer page loading.

One time I was in Paris (I think it was Paris) and I was looking at this painting and I could tell that the artist was really happy I was looking at it because of the way he was frowning in this I Am An Artist sort of way and I asked him if the painting was for sale and after he stopped crying he told me it was and then someone else who was maybe his friend or maybe it was the artist himself I can’t really remember, not since the accident, well he makes an offer to buy the painting and then I made a higher offer right away and then the other guy, who might have been the artist or maybe he was from Barbados, makes a higher offer and we went back and forth and then he stopped bidding and the artist was about to sell the painting to me when all of a sudden this ninja dropped in out of nowhere and after swinging his numchucks around for a couple of seconds and throwing a ninja star somewhere he offers to buy the painting and I didn’t want to have to now offer more than the ninja since I was already worn out from the last go around with the price and I was also up way past my bedtime and had school tomorrow, or maybe it was that I had to go back to the lab, I can’t remember, not since the meter ran out, and how did I get to Paris anyway?

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

Are you sure you weren't in the lab when a meteOr struck and it made you like this? Or was that just the original accident?
