Well yesterday I was suprised. I've choosen 'Coach picks from depth chart' and...
... and my brilliant coach played my SG for whole game. If he will do this again on thrusday cup game my SG game shape will drop... (total of 96 minutes)
I just don't understand why he did not change SG for a single minute...
This setting is still very mysterious to me, so still any sugestions are welcome.

This happens when your starting player is very superior to your backup player. No matter how tired your starter is, he is still the better player and hence stays on the court.

Maybe try starting your backup for the other game and make your starter a backup.

That looks to be very probable. Also, does your SG have high stamina? I know in close games I occasionally have problems with my center playing 40+ minutes because he's better than my backup and has strong stamina. He's dominating when the 4th quarter rolls around, but it obviously loses him a start in the next game.

Hmmm his stamina is highest in team but it is still only 'proficient'.
Ok I'll try to put him on bench in next game.

proficient stamina is already the maximum. So yeah, that explains why he plays for 48 minutes.

i believe you could buy another backup for less then 10k, which is much better then your current one which would be a start.

I could swear prominent ST was the maximum, just that it doesn't really stay there for long enough to matter.

i haven't looked at your team, but you have a number of options. this requires you think / plan by the week.

1) On friday, take a look at your weekly schedule. separate the games into close/must win and not going to be close (either defeat or win).

2) your hotshot guard starts / plays the close/must win game. 48 minutes.

3) your less-than-capable starts / plays the other games. if you have the starter coming off the bench, depending on the differential in talent, he could play as much as half the game; more likely, you could pencil him in for 12 - 20 minutes.

4) judging from your level, you probably will not make a long run in the Cup. this frees up the scrimmage for training -- which you use to close the talent gap between your starter and your bench as quickly as possible. a better bench gives you more options going forward.

5) you may or may not be at the point where you are starting to win by large margins against weaker teams in your league (maybe there are a couple of bot teams). a nice little trick here is to put your bench player as both "starter" and "backup" and place your starter in the "reserves" part of your lineup -- your coach will play (probably) play your bench player for around 36 minutes and your starter will get the final quarter. combine that with #2 above, and you have handled the weekly minutes for your starter quite nicely.

6) but the best solution -- either via the TL or training -- is to have a player(s) of equal value that you can rotate starts with your current hotshot.

Needless to say, if you have Lebron as a bench player with "Let coach decide", the coach will still give him huge minutes and might even start him because at the end of the day, the Coach wants to try win the game.

This is not true at all, and part of my point.

Perhaps if you play this game for a bit longer, you will figure that out.
