Since the next week is a stamina training anyway, I'm interested in seeing what the BB Coach thinks I do. I read somewhere that if I don't allocate positions to any players; that is, leave all the positions blank, the Coach will set the lineup as he thinks best.

The BB coaches are idiots. I've seen them do inexplicable things (such as playing guards at center when there is a pf on the bench) and not many smart things (subbing in lousy free throw shooters near the end of the fourth quarter).

And unless they've changed the coach, the coach won't bother managing your minutes for game shapes.

well i think this is the best lineup that you can make. if you dont really care about player minutes. Firstly because you dont have to think of a lineup. And secondly the coach can make better adjustments of the lineup depending on the play they are going to execute or the the defensive adjustment they are going to make.

Why would you not care about player minutes?

The way I see it, you either want your team to win today, or build to win tomorrow. Either way managing player minutes is extremely important. If you want to win right now, you have to manage game shape as it carries a lot of weight as to how your players perform. If you want to win in the future, you are hopefully training young guys, so you have to make sure your trainees get 48+ minutes.

In what occasion do player minutes not matter?

yeah sometimes the coach are idiots, but i play often in the PL(and the PO) with a blank lineup and coach decide, the result are quite good when you could afford that the "bench" play more. If it comes to a replacement, with a strict lineup and maybe your 48 minutes trainee fouled out, the replacement is much worse because he will bring first the reserve(when they exist) and then plan stupid with the assigned backups.

Edit: when you forget to put let coach decide in the lineup, you get stupid decision on mass too ;)

It's less important in a league full of bots especially when it's just one game. Otherwise your point is well-taken.
