Oh, and your case looks like the perfect case for using coach follows depth chart until fourth. That way the better bench guys come in in the last quarter and get 10 minutes guaranteed.

I didn't yell at you
I was just trying to point out that your advice was kind of obvious
and it would NOT have helped to 4th quarter it
as I said
the starter got HURT
he was gone
as in...NOT COMING BACK
thanks for your help nonetheless

but the advice was not needed
it was obvious, that's all
he ended up with respectable GS
not the end of the world

Those 2 guys probably won't even play against you, but I wanted to get some answers for the next time. Because then it could screw my trainees and not my second string. I am a little apprehensive about using "Follow strictly until 4th" because then doesn't it give the coach carte blanche and let him do whatever the hell he wants? Which could be worse than playing the starters a 8-10 extra minutes?

Perhaps some time in the future I will try that.

Thru using strictly all game I have managed minutes well since starting this game. I'm not about to switch that up right now and have my trainees not get 48 minutes.

This was the first time I had a player set as backup and reserve get only 3 minutes. I still have read no reason why this was the case this time. As I see it, it's not a skill or a stamina issue, but just "one of those things" that BB does from time to time to drive us managers insane.

85 minutes once in a while wont screw up your gameshape if it was good to begin with. As long as hes not always playing 80+ minutes.

Even if you dont set a specific player in a certain position(eg. SF), its still possible for the coach to play the specific player in SF. This is in strictly follow depth chart. It should be brief as seen in your game. It's annoying but yea it happens. The other posters basically covered it.
