Playoffs can still be very short if we squeeze in additional games on mondays and wednesdays, or find a way to decide a round in 2 games (maybe like in football by goal differential)

What about training and game shapes, then?

I think that every round of the playoffs should be decided by the best of 3. Games could be played on Saturday, Tuesdays and Thursday (as they already are). Teams in the playoffs don't have a friendly match (unless the series is decided in two games)

The team with the best regular season record plays the 1st and 3rd game at home, and teams shouldn't be forced to split the entrance earnings. Maybe the entrance from the third game could be splat as BB does it right now...

I really dont understand why this would be a problem - GS will be an issue for every team, so everybody will have the same problems. Training GS would look very sexy in such a scenario and this would open new strategic decisions.

Instead of turning down every suggestion you people should offer some suggestions that would solve those problems or stay mute.

I do agree about the three games part, I disagree about the friendly game though.

I do agree about the GS part beeing a non-issue: teams keep tie-ing games all the year to keep their attitude high, they have to risk ruining it in the playoffs to get to the final. Why should GS be treated any different? There´s no need ot play games at GS 9 all players, instead, just like Knecht said, opting for GS training can make up for lapses if you really need your players at high levels. All teams are affected, so there´s no disbalance.

In playoffs, you lose and that´s it. In regular, you lose and there´s a next game. Doesn´t that also qualify as "changing the general settings"?

but the best team stays the best team, and don't argue that you can forfeit one away game, in this case you change nothing.
