I also think that it would be nice to add your draft ranking to the draftee. A lot less hassle with screenshots and excel and usually still you could speculate which one of the players is which. I think more info after the draft is ok. There is nothing huge to gain, just to see how well you did overall with your info.

doesnt matter how much u try 2 cheat & collude 95% of draft picks r worthless crap anyway there is generally 1-3 good players per draft & they usually go really early

the guy in our league picking first told everyone who is the best draft pick but so what we know who is getting him & after that 5/5 18 yo the next best r 5/3 who will be worth next 2 nothing

I think what you are saying needs to be brought as a suggestion - improving draft peeks.

It is going to be my third draft, and in my first draft I've picked a great prospect that develops great, and another that is also very good.
So, I cannot say whether your claim is true or not.

What can be said is that the draft maybe needed to be adjusted per league.
Meaning that an higher league get better (more prepared) players.
It as its flows, as it may give an extra advantage to the teams in the higher leagues, but maybe there is a way that it would work.
For example - the better prospects in the lower league's drafts (while more ready and mature players in the higher league's draft) and so on.

I just read your forum. You had 33 points, so assuming you have some knowledge how the draft works. 10 points to measure and get to know the age of draft picks. About half of the draft is 18 year old. Prolly not over 10 18yo-s have 1-2 overall rating. So you will not go for group demo. That means you need 24 points to firstly scout all the 18yo-s. You only had 23. I have reason to believe there are atleast 5 18yo-s with 5 star rating. Did you actually use 40k both weeks to get extra 8 points? Still that would not be enough to interview all those players. We should not even talk about the interviews with 4 star rating players. I agree you might not get that 5/5 player (if you have 1+ active low standing drafters), but there is still a chance to pull out that 4star/5pot player, who is worth a decent amound of money on TL or a 5star/3pot player who is worth getting 48 cup or scrimmage minutes on any training spot.

i didnt need 2 scout all the 18s because

1 the whole league was told in forum by another player that had a ton of points a few facts
2 who u have ranked as 1 or 2 balls is random & i think i had 9 guys of interest so even though it could be argued i was wasting 1 point i thought the extra info was worth it
3 i havent scouted @ all 19yos or 18yos who are 6'8" or taller
4 it was 33 points a bit ago so 3-9 more since then
5 ive never spent more or less than 20k on the draft every week since i started the game in season 10 :)

ill go & do the complete sad draft history 4 my team & post it here later :(

Agreed, let's see if there is more than one suitable draftee in your leagues draft. Obviously we can just look at salary and potential. What really matter are the skills.

Now you are talking about draftees suiting a specific team. You still should draft the best player you can get. Sell him, for more than you invested in draft (like I have done every season) and buy a trainee, that suits your training plan. Or get someone older with better skills.

ok r u ready for the official goldfish draft history of shame?

for the record i have spent $20,000 on the draft every week since i started in season 10

season 10 draft

we started in season 10 round 4 so missed out on 1 week of drafting spending $20,000 x 13 weeks

cost $260,000 running cost $260,000 - sales $400,000 = total profit $140,000 (this is my peak!)

draft picks
#13 choice #1 Xiong Tiande $3294 19 HoF C 6'9"
i train guards and he was 6'9" with awful js & all bad guard skills but also inept id, was 19 with low skills sold for $400,000

#29 choice #10 Gao Fazhan $2745 19 allstar C 6'8"
a second big man when i already had xie & rad and was 100% going with guards with 7 x inept or worse i just sacked him

benchwarmer = sacked

draft picks
#14 choice #3 Perry Hardman $4560 18 star SG 6'6"
he was very tempting but i just felt with the height of 6'6" and potential of only star he wasnt worth training - i have always trained high potential guys pallstar at least with only one exception ever i sold him for about $20,000

#30 choice #4 Ric De Bartolo $4213 19 star SF 6'11"
too tall too low potential couldnt sell him so sacked

#46 choice #34 Tamra Gupta $1991 19 benchwarmer PF 6'3"

cost $280,000 running cost $820,000 - sales $638,000 = total loss $182,000

draft picks
#15 choice #2 Eddie Nixon $4023 18 superstar SG 6'9"

2 benchwarmers & a roleplayer awesome

season 14 draft

cost $280,000 running cost $1,380,000 - sales $638,000 = total loss $742,000 but one slightly trainable player with a tpe of $10,000

draft picks
#9 (my best ever pick) choice #4 Darius Black $3245 18 star 6'1" PG
by now i was really annoyed about my drafting & just wanted to be able to train a draft pick like everyone else so when i got darius even though he had bad skills (7 x inept or worse 42 skill points in total (excluding stam & free throws)) and potential i decided screw it im gonna train him

#25 choice #14 Konstantin Pitzing $2737 18 6th man 6'0" PG
