Some matches here in Czech Republic did not start, some did... can anyone from the staff look at it please?

More stuff:

(2506293)

This game is refusing to end. I shot FTs with 0:00 left on the clock, then it said "End of period" and got stuck there. Maybe it will take a bit of time, but it still looks weird.

Also, starting at 46:03, there are some bizarre substitution patterns. My coach does subs in between free throws. Then after the free throws, he subs again to put the entire starting line-up in. This doesn't make any sense, and happened consistently over the last 2 minutes of the game.

hmm....

so as far the substitution pattern, this isn't something we've seen a lot... i guess its technically legal and i think i know why. Basically if you are up and shooting FTs you want your best rebounders in, but if aren't (ie you just made your last FT) you want your overall best defensive team in. so you get fouled, the rebounders come in.. but the FT gets made so the starters come back in.

alternatively if you are down you want your rebounders in... and then you want your 3 point lineup.

as far as the game not ending.. for some reason there is a 3 minute lag before the game over signal was sent... not sure what that's about, but i'll track it down.

I think the change in the fouls system is too heavy.

I got a massive amount of 53 free trows this game (even though I was behind all the time, so no 10 fouls in the last 2 minutes).
My opponent got 32 FT's.
Half of the time they were shooting FT's lol.

Thanks for the clarification. It is not that it is illegal, I just thought it was a bit bizarre.

In the particular case I am talking about (46:06), I was up 11 and the opposition was shooting free throws. When I got subs before free-throws, a PF with awful rebounding and was sent in, so it definitely wasn't the 'rebounding' unit.

Following your suggestions, the only reasonable explanation is that the coach was doing offense-defense subs, and fielded the high defense guys. However, I don't see how these are necessary when the team is shooting FTs. I guess one can assume this was a conservative approach in case the second FT is missed and the other team gets an offensive rebound, which isn't deprived of logic.

Oh, and while we're at the new changes: is there any reason why the middle column of team ratings in the new box score is so narrow it has to go on two lines? There is so much space to use horizontally, and this makes the page unnecessarily long.

This is a minor issue, but should be fairly straightforward to fix.

I'll take responsibility for this one. I hacked together the new page pretty quickly, and didn't foresee this becoming a problem. It'll get fixed by Monday, hopefully.

I know you guys have been working really hard to make the game's last minute more realistic and we do appreciate your effort.

But there seem to be at least a couple of things that require some adjustments.

a) In my game today I was up by 38 points with one minute to go and still my opponent attempted the foul + 3 point shot strategy to fill in the gap.

b) 3 point shots taken after less then 5 seconds should be at very low percentage. In particular, 3 point shot following a timeout and taken after only 2 seconds seem to be to easy to make. In this game it happens 3 times out of 4 in the last minute. Look at it and tell me if this is a realistic end of a game in your opinion.

thanks for the prompt response.

One more thing if I may :)
The team ahead should as well try to give (and keep) the ball in the hands of his best FT shooter... is this already happening? It did not look like it in my game...

the team ahead gets the ball into the hands of its gaurds, the team behind tries to get it into the hands of a poor FT shooter. the team ahead tries to put its best FT shooting team in (well a compromise between starters>best players> and best FT shooters)
