No disrespect to the above poster who said you'd likely get a good draftee because you're in an all-bot division, because what he says is true for the most part and makes sense.......... but this is not true most of the time.

still undecided?

And yes draft is always a lottery, and it dn't makes it easier when 1/3 of the scouted player are already gone when it is your turn, ut the chanche is still quite good.

I think that if you are the only active team you are quite likely to have 3 of your top 6 choices. From what I have seen are bot teams not stealing especially many of the top drafts.

I got my top two drafts and they were crap. I did not order my draftees as I decided to spend no points in this draft as I finished first in an active league.

I would most likely spend $20k a week if I ended up alone in a league. It would cost around $300k but you could potentially have two really good drafts at the same time. Not sure if it is economically better than $10k a week though as you have quite good chance to get your choice then as well.

And Crazy-Eye is correct, it is very common that you end up in an inactive league if you relegate. It all depends on how well lowest league is filled up. In Sweden there are only teams to fill about half of the lowest league at the moment so ending up in half of the leagues will mean mainly bot teams.

i bet against this, alone the third pick is predefined since it is the last player left. Also the list aren't sorted totally random, and better player have a bit higher(very little) chanche to get drafted. but 2 of the first 6 are fine too. I would also suggest investing 20k(or 10).

Yeah it's probably an blessing, you can easily win your league, train your players out of position, make money, get the only educated draft picks, make your supporters happy and get the season ticket bonus at the end of the season!

Forgot that if you win the league you will have the last draft pick and of course will it be very odd then if it is a decent player. One player in Swedish division III had two outstanding picks this draft. He drafted first as his team was so poor it even failed to beat bots so that of course increases his chance of getting two good draft picks. But first round are likely to be top 2 of listed players and second round top 6 of listed I think and that is a reason to spend much on draft.

Thanks for pointing out the bright sides. It will certainly be nice to have some freedom in training my players out of position. I'm slightly wary about investing too much in next year's draft since I'm not sure how my weekly income will drop compared to last season. I may have to cut some corners, and if I've already cut my team down as far as it can go, that may mean cutting back on my scouting investment. I picked up a great SF in the draft this year, so I feel good about focusing on training him into my franchise player.

Pleasing my fans will be a nice change, as last season they were disgruntled about everything (for good reason, I kept getting crushed) except the survey question that asked if they thought I was doing all I could to make the team better, in which case I received 4-5 balls each time.

I'm not aware of the season ticket bonus! I'll have to look into that. Cool.

Don't forget the promotion bonus as well :)

Another guy mentioned the lack of competition, when i started this game i was pretty much guaranteed relegation to div 4 and ended up in a bot league, i considered quitting because of that fact.

But i remember the advice i got on the forums about the chance for my fans to be happy, selling out games, making a longer cup runs, etc.

The important thing is to be stronger next time round.

I see your selling your SF, if only i had 2 million!

In lowest division you do not need higher salaries than the floor. You will win it easily anyway. Can still be worth keeping players that will be good enough in higher league and bring in some cheap old players for a small sum to cover up other spots. I would for sure do so. Selling all players that you do not train might not save you much money but is probably also a good idea.

For sure you have $10000 left to invest in the draft each week then and that it probably enough to spend.
