The 3D is simultaneously a blessing and a curse. On one hand it makes MZ the only game I know of to have a match engine where you can actually watch the game being played instead of a text and/or data based representation. On the other, it shows just how retarded the AI is. Failing to trap the ball when it's moving slowly, for instance...
Back to the topic at hand, I think the play-by-play we have now is adequate. Sure, it may be a bit boring unless the chatroom is active on that night, but I like the shot chart feature. Only thing i'd ask for is the option to bring up more detailed play-by-play commentary, which would cover things such as passes and player attempts to dribble past their defenders. Is that possible to implement? I don't know whether or not the game engine tries to play out an actual game and merely reports the result of each possession, or if it merely churns out a bunch of random numbers to determine if, where and when the shot is taken and whether it goes in or not (if someone knows for sure let me know)...
