But as the latest feature had been a new statistics, I'm pretty sure they do not intend to look at this issue, although the constant noise it creates.


if you'r intention in every post is to give a low blow to the BB's please do not talk at all i fail to see how you'r post here help in anyway

as for not getting the merchandise and tv money i do not think it will work as in D.I atleast 700+ (my sallery is 770 right now) now move the tv contract away 230- and merchandise another 80 on average you get 310 ad the playoff income (abut 180 for 3-4) you get 390 as i see it 700>490
it is a good thought thou but the math is still in 5th place favor

My suggestion is a minor one but to make 5th (and 8th not as good) in weeks that the team doesn't play a competitive game they don't pay salaries and they don't get any TV money or merchandising. This would be less bad than the bad old days of full costs and little income but would make 5th a lot less attractive than it is now without making it crippling. I believe it would be a much easier change than moving the day the financial update would happen.


I agree that this change will be the simpler one to develop and to maintain but I think GM-Nirman's solution will solve the problem better. I do agree that moving the economic update day will be a major change in terms of development, maybe even risky - That's a big factor as well, and that's for the BB to decide.

Both solutions are better then today's paradox...

this is not a Pini thread i will not let you take my suggestion and preach you'r agenda without really say anything beneficial to the suggestion itself as for that any thing that you will post here will need to be relevant to the suggestion only or will be deleted

I agree with the problem presented, but i offer a more simpler solution - playoff tickets are more expensive.

this way - a single playoff game is worth more than a regular season game - and you can adjust it that even playing the first round only worth more than finishing 5th (or at least the same) - this way teams will try harder to get in the playoffs, but still - 5th places don't get screwed.

Pini's suggestion of a prize money according to your final position is also in the right direction.
of course the amounts should be balanced to fit each division

i highly disagree with you on that point this way you make a hall new problem of high cash flow to the OP teams and no way to balance the in league dynamics

to make the PO 3-4 place worth more then a 5th place you will need to fix in a D.I atleast abut 600k diffrence now you add 200k lets say it will help lower the problem as you will implant the no TV contract for no league games you lower it to 200k in the favor or 5 place but what you did there?

you add 400k to the 1-2 place on top of that a gate income of over 700k

you see the problem?

if you add more money to the Playoffs gates you just creating a bigger hole in the top tier and second tier teams

my suggestion (aslong as it is not crashing in developments problems like game times and updates who run in the same time in other areas in the world) should fix the 3-4 to 5 place

BUT right now it will not fix the problem that every team that finish 3-4 just sell their players for the playoff and do not even try

for that you will need to add bump to the sallery floor and a big one

So to sum this up, having 5th place make more money than 4th is wrong, but we also can't have playoff teams making more money because it's essentially subsidizing further the overpowered teams. So all we need is a solution where being fourth is better than fifth, first is better than fourth, and first is not better than fifth. Sounds easy!

Well you can look at it like this or you can look at it where first is allready better the 4 but if you give them 1/5 times more money then normal season games you make a bigger unbalance

and some how changing the update day fix that problem exactly so yes it is easy fix
