It's great for the game. You need to sacrifice something to gain something for the future.

Nippon is a wacky micronation league
You hit the nail on the head. Should you really expect normal results in your league? If a player plays in a certain slot for most of the season. Why would they select those SF's at SF position? It would not make sence.

Career stats...
For all the mumbojumbo following those two words. This is not real life. This training system suits the game, in order to make a multiskilled player, you need to go the extra mile.
So what you are suggesting is: make draft powerful and training ineffective. Create random drops to player (some players get worse), give personalitys to players so they choose the team they sign with, introduce career ending injuries (my favorite) etc. Anything else you would like to add to "your game".

Most importantly!!! It should be pay to play!

I was telling him that a player needs to play 48 minutes in order to get full training. He was like, WTF?

I didn't even get that far. Your brother just asked "who the heck are you, again?" I didn't see that option in your poll, though.

Your brother looks like a very sane person to me. Hi brother if you exist.

Training is stupid, this alone almost turned me off the game at the beginning.
I realize it is a game mechanic and a very important one but the idea is wicked at the root and, overall, it comes at a price regarding the playability and the game enjoyment.

It makes training more difficult but artificially, with unrealistic and awkward recipes.
This is what I dislike the most in games, when factice mechanisms actually raise the player's annoyance more than the game difficulty.

I reckon it was theorically a brilliant idea, but practically it's disastrous ans leads to all kind of weird players behaviours and leagues in consequence.

Now, blindly following unpractical, nonsensical, inefficient rules set by the powers that be is rewarded in our world. A lesson for us all.

I think like I said team trainings
Well you can train the whole team in some skills. If you could use your imagination, you could take the overall team training as keeping your players at the current level. The older players drop because they can't maintain that level even with team training. You can set the extra training.

like how they brought in FT coaches for Shaq
That's the beauty of this training system. You are not limited in any skill, only potential and you can make absolutely anyone shoot like Dirk or RayRay from the free throw line. Shaq got special training, but he still could not make his FT's. Nomatter the hours you put on it. If you can't shoot, you just can't shoot.

why bother with 5 on 5?
That's easy, they took the basics. They had choises though. 3on3, 1on1, 5 fouls instead of 6 fouls etc. They just added a twist to training, to make the game interesting. Every player constantly improving isn't realistic aswell and it would be really boring. Here you can create your francise player from the scratch.

Imo they have made great choises with contract system and training.

Perhaps you could point out a more realistic online basketball game as good as BB? Or better yet, go create your own game and stop trying to ruin this one.

I think the ideal training system would be where everyone can very slowly improve (except for the old guys) and you can set individual training for a few, chosen guys of your choice, in any skill you want. Some players would still train faster than others, like bigs in rebounding or smalls in handling. Take out the need to play players in particular positions, as it's completely unnecessary, or maybe it could give a very, very slight boost, which would be realistic. GS would still be affected by how many minutes your guys play.

Take out the scrimmage and have another league game per week, or make it so that the scrimmage gives you a small amount of attendance money. (That idea is purely to make it so that managers stay online longer which is, in my opinion, a big reason for the current training system.)
