I know you have already gotten help, but I just thought I would add that you should never pass up on a 5/5 player who is 18, regardless of his position or height.

i had drafted 6,9 pg with B rating, ends up 2,7k salary with like 40 skillpoints, yes atrocious inside shot but overall i am excited.

skills were:

2 7
7 7
4 6
1 7
7 5

so in my opinion a rating would be even better beast potencially. this means little,. like 1-2 seasons outside training for beast guy, and with high other inside skills ill prolly get 6pops of IS IN 6 WEEKS:d

so does iD on IS , well, atleast i think so, cause trained guards and trained OD first, when they were 22 and 23 years old i felt incredible elastic effect training jump shot, got like 8 pops per player a season at that age i count like better than i can expect at age 18 player without elastic efect. my bigs got training at js too, but missed OD, so i aded another season of od training and on bigs got like 5pops ea poer season, still pretty high considering their height, so atleast js, od elastic efect worked very well either way.

Im trying to decide which of these players should be at the top of my draft list.

player, star rating, potential, position, grade rating, age, height

player1 , 5, 5, PG, A-, 18, 6'10"

player2, 5, 4, PG, A+, 19, 6'2"

I really like player 1 especially being a 6'10" PG. meaning it will probably be easy to make him a well rounded player, but the A- rating is worrisome. I know I've been disappointed in the past in A- rated players. usually not worth keeping on my bench.
player 2 on the other hand might be good enough to be a bench player for me but he's 19 and a little less potential. also more of a pure PG probably. just looking for some opinions. thanks

Player 1 really won't be worth "keeping on the bench." Either you train him and enjoy having a wonderful starting point for a very well-balanced player, or you sell him and enjoy a lot of money. Player 2 you can stash on the bench, and certainly I wouldn't mind drafting him in the second round. But player 1 is by far the superior prospect whether you're looking to train or sell, and could be the type of player to build a team around, while player 2 is a guy you can build a scrimmage roster around or train to be a halfway decent player, not a cornerstone.
