I can tell you just one thing. This formula is okay, but this is just math. It is not for 100% sure, that this numbers are exactly perfect. So you have to take it with distance.

I think what is important to remember here is, that the Training Site is a help tool, it is also set up with known quantities as well as the supplied info. One thing it is not is perfect. There are a few contributing factors that throw some of the standard calculations off (elastic effect, trainer level, sub levels, etc)

I have a young trainee that took 3 weeks to pop (of full 48+) in OD, then he popped in 1 week, since then he popped at 2 weeks consistently until a few weeks ago and tonight on the 3rd week he popped again, hopefully he goes again next week.

It all works out, sometimes it is just disappointing.

Thanks for the response mate.
I understand the point you make, that's why i included in my results the site's trainer data and counted with minimum 0,1 sublevel.
Even with elastic effect and possibly other factors, not considered, i believe a 25%(minimum) deviation is huge, from a stastistical point of view.
Perhaps, i should inform the site's guys about this and take it from there.

I don't want to sound harsh, but you're overthinking it. All we have are estimations, not accurate information. Sometimes it goes slower than expected, and sometimes maybe faster :) These estimations are really good enough, and there is more data to analyze every week. You have no reason to make a fuss about a week late pop.

My best guess is that some of the data on training young big men is probably noisy because of sublevels - it's far less likely that big men are receiving multiple weeks of passing training consecutively so it is therefore more likely that early pops that are influenced by starting sublevel are weighing into the calculations more than would otherwise be anticipated. Plus it may well be that elastic effect may have also influenced both the reported stats and your trainee. As I'm looking back at my training history, I find that most of my early passing training on my big men was actually PG/SG because I was still transitioning from my earlier guards, so I can't really give any good numbers for one position passing at that age like I had thought I might be able to.

Sometimes it could be surprising! One-on-one training could have 3 or 4 pops in one week. :)

indeed.

My next one on one should get 3-4 pops for both my trainees.

It does make absolute sense, when put like this.

I like the fact you're so precise with calculations though. Means you probably handle your club's economy well. Financial planning and management is probably one of the key ingredients to succeed in this game.

Thank you my friend.
This game is all about numbers with a twist of basketball, after all! ;)
