I dont know why would you want to play with your starters when you are leading by 20-30, unless you need them to have 48 mins for GS(you certainly dont want some of your star players to get injured in last minutes of a game that you are leading by 20 points)... It is maybe because I had never lost a game in which I was leading with big margin, but in my opinion if your reserves can lose 20-30 points you should rather consider buying better reserves, than supporting this suggestion...
1) Basket Average while mantaining 12 players on the roster.
2) Avoid surprises in playoffs games with easy leads.
3) NT games with group standings decided by basket average, where minutes don't count towards game shape.
3. what's the point then in having more than 5 players on an NT?
2. Avoid surprises: It's the playoffs, thats when surprises are SUPPOSED to happen... Case in Point, Did you see the Colorado Avalanche vs Minnesota Wild, NHL (National Hockey League) Playoff game on Thursday? That may have been the biggest surprise/upset/comeback in sports history.
1. Fair point.
