So as the news has come out and revealed the new anti tanking suggestion I think that the salary floor should be removed.

In my league of roughly 50% bots (and growing) I would comfortably halve my salaries and still win 3/4 of my games. I would make more than semi competitive div 2 teams.

In my opinion this is perfectly fine. You need to catch up to DIV II teams anyways, be more competitive.

I just spent 8 million on a player and have another 5 million to spend. The only thing I need to catch up is my trainees. Take away the salary floor and I'll make more than any div 2 team. Might as well cash in on my trainees and stay until I'm closer to the hoarding limit.

I agree with Gully that it's a good idea to keep it at least in D1. You take it off D1 and you will have someone rolling with 3 minimum staff and 3 players. No matter what kind of boycott he gets he will still make 3-400k a week. Merch+TV is already well more than 200k.

These things are hard to balance. And they are even harder to balance when they look at the economy and only consider the demand side (the savings in the bank and the weekly income). The supply side is equally important and it has been ignored forever except for the wrong FA changes.

They need a plan that encompasses several things, instead they are always playing catch up because they can't understand the consequences of the changes they make. The higher prices have caused worse rosters at all levels. While they have been actively reducing players' salaries (?????) they allegedly also want to put a stop to the deterioration of the average quality of the competition (caused by their masterplan to inflate the economy) by encouraging people to have a payroll at least equal to the floor. This will increase prices. Increased prices lead to more people looking to save money and therefore a levelling towards the floor itself. This is obvious.

Now this could even be ok IF they had plans to tackle the supply side as well, which they clearly haven't.
