Sorry to be the devils advocate here, you are comparing two different games. Patient offense usually looks for the biggest mismatch. Its not always going to be the best player on your team. Especially, if that player is matched very well defensively by the opposing team.

What is Nurol’s JR? He is only 15 for 65 (23%) this season when shooting 3s. That seems pretty low for a patient guy. Looks for me like he is getting his mismatch in JS to opponents OD but can’t really capitalize on it. From my experience playing patient gives the best results when your main shooter is around 50% from behind the arc.

Echoing what Ob1 said, it also depends on your opponents' defense. Particularly the OD on the bigs, but also the guards ability to get passes to the best mismatch.
