With that logic 30 points, do you assume it is enough to scout best or few best prospects, being such high at bot league chances bot will snipe first choice is around 30 percent; sniping both 10 percent and all 3 4 percent. In my opinion it is two choices either not to scout or scout 2-3 minimum prospect you would want to draft. You can always save leftover points and not to scout further the season, untill you dont have draft board safest is to scout 40k/week. Then you can see depending on the innitial results. The worst thing you can do is lack 2 points and not draft best player because you hadnt enought points to properly scout it...

In this logic it is sufficient enough to jack up three from the opposide free throw line, it is still 3 points if it falls in, why bother trying to shoot from corner, you might lose ball dribbling it....?

10k/week is ok if you saving points for a bad season or you have leftover from previous one, or even tanking and youll pick first, it might be enough. But for full scouting 45-60 points needed in a draft.

And you are right. Arena is the most important thing, everything else comes next.

I second this suggestion. Invest in the arena +$10k/week. Do not spend any point in the first draft and then next season try to get one of the top 1-2 pick and spend the points then.

Last season I think I spent over 80 points and we had 2 5/5 18yo and another 2 or 3 5/5 19yo. It was a very good draft although most players ended up being MVPs (I got the only 18yo HoF). I scouted all the 18yos and the 19yos from the combine plus some random 19yo with interesting height. Of course 80 points is 4 seasons worth of 10k/week points.

I think 10k/week + buying the first set of trainees is best (perennial all-star, superstar and even allstar can be useful). When they are finished in 5 or 6 seasons, then do go for the draft.

Yeah best choice would be to not spend any money/points on this draft. But since not everyone plays this game to 100% optimally strategy wise, I included an option that's a fun too because you need to have fun in order to keep playing this game.

Drafting is throwing up a hail mary in any case, wether you spend 80 points with the #1 pick or 25 points at some other pick. Also, it's not 3 points or bust for a new team, a 50+ TSP superstar is awesome to train for a beginning team too.
