Man, if you had lost the first game at home by 30 or won by 50 surely you wouldn't be training GS as that would have no influence on the outcome.

Just looking at your minutes you have 97,92, 91, 82, 81. Even with a psychologist and a massage doctor you are unlikely to get out of it unscathed.

Even if you rest the starters tomorrow (Saturday) and Normal, odds are your opponent is normalling also. HCA is quite big but if he has the same GS as last week and you have 4 players dropping, you may be in trouble yes. That OT in the conference final screwed you over.

Well training, psychologist and massage specialty doctor is a good idea, but staff is not something that is easily solvable overnight.

I've some game shape problems with 3 of my players mainly.
I've trained game shape last 4 weeks, doctor has massage speciality since beginning of the season and I've psychologist level 7 (updated last week, before had level 4).
Last 4 weeks minutes:
M.Sporar: 81, 52, 53, 75 (8->8 DMI has dropped significantly last 3 weeks)
J.Paszkiet: 61, 65, 71, 53 (9->8)
C.Rio: 65, 58, 66, 68 (9->8)
Game shape is basically the same with those minutes and without all the helping staff and special training. For me it hasn't been worth it

It has diminishing returns. Nobody knows how much efficiency drops but I would never ever train it 4 times in a row. You should have done like the OP and break the streak of training before the playoffs just to be on the safe side.

I got huge benefit from training Game shape 1st week.

Before semi-finals happened worst thing ever, my scrimmage game was agreed with someone from very different time-zone (9:00 AM local time) and my main player got 110 + minutes of game time during that week.

Name - received minutes past week - training - game shape after training

W34 K. Hermann - 68 - JS forwards - 9
W35 K. Hermann - 110 - Game shape - 8
W36 K. Hermann - 81 - Game shape - 8

W34 H.Järv - 59 - JS forwards - 9
W35 H.Järv - 101 - Game shape - 8
W36 H.Järv - 76 - Game shape - 9

I would say that training game shape 2 weeks in a row does have does not have very high drop in 2 weeks period as both players I listed should not get 70+minutes per week of playing time due to their stamina. Second player got his GS back to 9 with training GS altough his minutes were messed up 2 weeks in a row.

So there is efficiency difference while training too many weeks that I did not know. Never trained it that much, but I've old team and didn't seem necessary to change training. One week GS training has made great results in past. With four weeks the effect was minimal. I wonder could there been better results without training, just with special staff

I have trained GS only once or twice in 30 seasons with 2 teams, so I don't know. I know they changed it to reduce its impact because people, especially the guys in BBB, were training GS all season long.
