You've got the best record in Div II, congratulations on your guaranteed promotion. I suspect it'll be a championship too as both of Big 8's best teams came unstuck against PCT's whilst you survived one.

I was hoping to promote as a fully homegrown team, but when Meehan was about to be retired due to his owner going bit a bit the bullet. Hope I actually can promote to fix up the financial mess that decision put me in!🤣 still have to get past a couple of veterans in SHP on this side of the draw and you on the other, Jay. It’s far from over.

It's not hugely different to any other post-promotion season. Just that the financial numbers are higher, and you can't count on being able to at least beat bots and inexperienced managers like in division II. Don't forgot about the fan support boost that will allow you to raise ticket prices considerably and rebuild your bank balance after your all-in season...

Actually, if you still have the means to keep your big 3, and are able to find a couple more players for relatively small transfer fees, I think you would make playoffs in the ABBL right away. Having the best centre in the country helps you a lot if you can find a way to go for it.

Cheers Jay, I appreciate it. By the last few rounds I wa basically breaking even, so I assume cost wise I’ll be ok once I move up. I just had to seriously cut what I was spending on staff, scouting etc, which I’d like to fix, and my depth was slashed, which I’ll need to fix.
Fingers crossed it’s not a yo-yo season.
