I think I'll lose to PP next week, then they'll get swept in the finals by Machines

PP is one of the two teams my Machines lost to this season, and they beat me at home.

TWSS looked amazing against LCD, and the last time our teams met, I only managed a 9-point victory in double-overtime after five of his guys had fouled out. The two times we've met, I've won by a combined 12 points. I'm not preparing for the Finals. I'm prepping for TWSS.

In other news, Yjet (135-121 over Flood) and Seaslugs (154-142 OT over SW) both lead their respective Relegation POs 1-0, continuing home team dominance.

I screwed up this season, so I'm glad that I was able to pull off a win playing playoff normal. Hopefully the draft will work out ok (I see a lot of 5* players) and I'll get somebody I can train/sell.

These past few weeks I've noticed that rebounding really is my achillies heel...

Yeah I only scouted 27 players but 6 of them are 5*, one being an 18-year old with 5* potential and an A+ rating, holy moley I wish I didn't have the 13th pick...

It seems like there is a lot of 5 star players out there. I scouted ten of them myself. I wish they would change the scouting so your scouts stop scouting a player once they see he is a one or two star scrub.

If that's the same 18yo I've scouted, he's a PG. And it could be worse, as you could have 16th pick ;)

i just realized how wussy my team is

by rating

i have the #1 player (even if he's mildly overrated, he cant get a sniff of the nt even though hes the 2nd highest rated player in the COUNTRY)

i have the #7 player as well in the league

and I have the #34 player (Jonah Clement)

By definition, there are 16 teams in the league. if you had to do an entire draft of players and only knew the rating...

i have two early first round picks, and a very early third round picks

and its not like i dont have depth either. patrick means is rated as 81st best
Bert De Maseneer is rated 57

Thats a pretty respectable top 5.

I realize my small fowards suck (a remedy i am fixing... i have a secret long term plan), but you think with 2 of the top 10 players in the league and an elite 3rd banana, i coulda done better.

what are your regrets about this season?

The problem I have with ranking players by their average rating is that a player's rating is highly dependent upon their game shape. (Look on the first page of any player's stats and his first two games are usually lower than the rest.) This tends to penalize teams with fewer players (~10), as the game shape of their star players can be ruined by too many minutes. This is particularly true during long Cup runs.

That said, I have the #2 & #8 rated players in the league.

what are your regrets about this season?

Losing in the 4th round of the Cup playing TIE. I knew I should've normaled that game and didn't because I wanted the enthusiasm for league games. What a waste: I never really used the enthusiasm, as I only normaled twice in the entire regular season, and one of them was an accident (sorry, Apollos).

I also regret many of my training choices during the season, but I'll keep those to myself.

My biggest regret was not addressing what has obviously always been my team's weak spot - defense and rebounding - during the offseason and through the transfer list. I also made a few bad enthusiasm decisions, ones that weren't helped by crappy decisions in the cup.

Next year will be different though, as it looks like I'll win my relegation game pretty easily.
