Those players were trained over the cap after potential was introduced indeed. I've seen all star potential players popping to 2x wondrous 1 tremendous this season.

Skills do not tell all. A 2x wondrous, 1 tremendous center can have a very wide range of salaries, depending on his shotblocking ability.

I am not discarding what you're saying, and there can indeed be other explanations: for example, training speed has finally been lowered down to base. I've had 2 players not pop OD from 3 trainings this season.

I'm not talking about 1 single player, I'm talking about a database of NT players, Thijs76 from Holland is tracking all players from all NTs when they are on the list for a few seasons now. So we have a lot of data about high skilled players.

Let's look at Cs with 7 SB. A C with 3x 13 will have at least 55k salary, which is easily done at allstar. The salary will indeed be way higher when the SB reaches 10.
A C with 13,14 and 15 will have at least 80k salary, which will be even higher with a higher SB. This salary is reached at all star potential as well. We have a few C's with high SB in our database, one with 11-11-12-15(sb) get 45k salary and a guy with 4x 12 has 55k.
A guy with 20-12-7-7 or something is around 65k.

That's why I dont think a 50k salary C at the salary update will be at his cap.

for example, training speed has finally been lowered down to base. I've had 2 players not pop OD from 3 trainings this season.

I agree with this, my 18yo's are popping after 3,5 weeks (PF/C) on average at IS and ID, although they are a little small, around 2m.

This sounds ugly.
