If you look at the recent records...

Shikoku Otaku, Terry Bogard and you have all won 8 in a row, MadRipper has won 5 of its last 6 and I have won 7 of my last 8 (lost the critical away game to BBstAr who pyhirically CT'd me and won by 2 but then lost 3 of their next 5 games).

At the end of the season BBstAr will get promoted no matter what as will one team from the Great 8, my aim is to make sure it is 2 teams from the Great 8, but some huge games coming up.

12/23/2011 - が失われることはありません has just acquired João Pedro Petrônio for $ 1 144 500.

João Pedro Petrônio (13216322)
Center
Owner: が失われることはありません
Weekly salary: $ 92 635
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)
DMI: 658700
Age: 24
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: strong

Looks like he may be giving Terry Bogard a bit more of a challenge tonight. Maybe he will even have a go at taking down BBstAr and getting the promotion to the JBBL. Still at the moment it is a very unbalanced roster, his 3rd best player is $7,000.

TB'll be a bit surprised if he doesn't check out his opponent today...
Guy only has 10 players, and his team's GS is so-so. And as you point out: pretty top-heavy. I'm relatively confident that should I meet him again (and this season, it's unlikely) that Li/Andrizi will hold their own against his two, more-salaried players.

And his salary: $194 952
That's a helluva lotta cash for a guy with a 5070 seat arena. Not sure that's even sustainable for him.

You were right, the 1 man team is not good enough.

Well that was the most exciting match of my BB career.

It was on TV.
It was a rivalry game.
Whoever won probably would win the conference and get HCA for the playoffs and maybe an automatic bot promotion to the JBBL.

And what an epic finish!

Kyoto Shogun vs. Shikoku Otaku 118 - 116 (39848161)

1 second to go and scores level.
Noritada Konoe tries a driving layup, guarded closely by Wenceslao Davalos.
Scored!

But it isn't over!

Bodies go flying as Wenceslao Davalos plows his way to the basket as Noritada Konoe rotates over to help defend the play.
Shot blocked!

GAME OVER

Konoe is hoisted onto the shoulders of his teammates and paraded around the arena.

So can you win such a fantastic match and yet also lose?

Well you can if your two best players are both injured for two weeks. Ouch!

Others will disagree but I consider Hirofumi Sonoda the best player in the league. He leads the league in ratings, is 2nd in blocks, is 3rd in rebounds, is 5th in free throws, is 8th in points and is top 20 in steals. I think he is the best player in the league. Now out 2 weeks and probably in horrible shape for the playoffs.

But I also lost my second best player Zhang Minhua who is currently 6th in the league in rating, 12th in rebounds and last season was 5th in MVP voting in the league. Also gone for 2 weeks and will take maybe 1-2 more to recover his game shape.

The win last night should have secured me the home court for the playoffs but now I have no chance against NKRK and will struggle keeping up my PD.

Looks like I will be dipping into my reserves a little earlier than planned. Expect to see a big purchase in the next few days.

The Kyoto Shogun are proud to announce the arrival of M&M the player who will be attempting to fill in for the Mighty Sonoda and the venerable Zhang for the next few weeks. While few can compare with Sonoda compared to Zhang he has better IS, ID and SB and the same RE so he looks sure to be a hit with fans and may stick around for a while.

Well with my two best players out injured I could hope for a different result but not expect it. Well done. They are both down to a one week injury and in strong GS so fingers crossed one is back in time for the scrimmage (Sonada has been 1 week for about 4 days so it will be borderline and I even booked my scrimmage in Europe to get a few extra hours). I am certain Terry Bogard will CT me again, lucky the game is at my arena and I will have to figure out if I can afford to CT him back.

Hurry back Sonada and Zhang, your team needs you!
