I thought for sure I had multiple passing pops when previously using one on one guards, but I guess it must have been cross training then. Hmm, I guess I better start training some passing then.

Yes no other training trains passing.

And I also like it this way - it's one of the easiest skills to train (no height impact, elasticity from DR/HA) and furthermore it trains a bit of DR and HA - increasing that sweet OD elasticity efect.

But you don't find this odd?
SB/IS/REB/Pressure all train ID
1 on 1 Gs/Fs, JR, IS train JS

It is almost like they forgot to add another training to affect passing.

Not really, no. What I find odd is the fact, that SF and PF can only train at maximum efficiency if you train DR or JS (and reb for PF), SG only has JR (and pretty much unused DR and JS) while PG and C have a lot of skills on their shoulders

In case passing would be trained as a secondary skill by 1v1/HA training, that would dramatically change the builds we see today. It would simply be close to impossible to have 22-23 HA/DV with 9-10 PA.

I'm not saying this is the way to go, actually I prefer it as it is now. Just pointing out that this dependency is worth considering.

Keep 1 on 1 Fs the same but change 1 on 1 Gs. 1 on 1 Fs trains IS, 1 on 1 Gs can train passing

You are thinking logically and this game has nothing to do with logic. SB training trains Rebounding, WHY?
Why does training handling give you OD partial training? Nothing makes sense.
As a U-21 manager and having these managers only training 1 on 1 Fs, was just thinking aloud about making 1 on 1 Gs worth something, especially during a two game week.
Perfect scenario, end of the season, you have a 100K PF with high sub-levels in JS and IS. A pop in either raises his salary 25K a week for next season. What do you do?, 1 on 1 Gs if it trained a bit of passing. I would use it during two game weeks.
