I like your idea and you enthusiasm. Some of the Q&A are good some are bad (the ones that are too long). The problem is - to get the new user to read the faq, it should be short and with links to the game manual. Why don't the new users read the game manual? because it is too long :(
So writing another game manual in one thread is not the best option. I suggest tighting it up a little.
I like the situational problem solving like: “None of my players popped up this week. Is this a bug?”, “I played at home in my cup match but I didn’t receive any ticket sales. Why?” etc.
Perhaps you could mend some of the topics into one. Example: instead of using "How much do I get for winning a match in the cup?" mend it with “I played at home in my cup match but I didn’t receive any ticket sales. Why?” and write the following: Cup games have no arena income instead only the winner will receive prize money depending on the current round. Extra info about cup and it's prizes can be found here http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/rules.aspx?nav=Tour...
I agree that we need answers to common questions like "How do I manage my teams game shape?" Perhaps just answering "keeping it between 50-70 minutes per player should keep your GS at decent level, there is also a random involved, for more information we suggest you read the training section of the game manual http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/rules.aspx?nav=Trai..."
This seems a bit more natural to me. Guys who want the quick answer will get the basic answer and guys who want to read more will read the game manual.

Just to note that i consider your try as one of the best posts that i ever seen in my BB history. Great, wonderful job. Some parts of it are already translated in Greek.

1 small observation off topic. You really need some logo/banner. :)

Yeah I realised as I was writing it that it was getting longer and longer lol. I'll try and cut it down over the next week or so as more people give their thoughts. I like your idea of keeping things short and simple.

I guess this is why it is called FAQ attempt 1 :) lol

Ya Virus I for one wanted to add my voice into the THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS group. This took some work and some experience and is very appreciated. Now when my wife asks me a question I dont have to search for the answer I can just point her here.

Naker, I think you should incorporate Devil Advocate's guide in a way that his is the first section and what you wrote at the start of the thread is the second section.

His material is aimed at people who've just signed up: what do I do with my initial roster, how long is the season, stuff like that. Your material is more targeted for intermediate users: how do I train effectively, how do I get the most out of my arena, etc. If you merged them in this fashion it would make a pretty comprehensive guide. Just a suggestion.

I like everything thats written by you and RiP88. Mine was just an contrary opinion and should be kept seperately from the cast iron facts. I'll gladly help with more 'Case Studies' which I guess would be more appropriate for mentoring and yes there should be heavy disclaimers attached to anything I write!!! KUTGW
