Shot blocking is underrated and certainly ups your teams inside defense rating.

Bossesofbosses is the biggest believer in SB that I know and always jokingly suggests that managers train their trainees SB to legendary. If there is a player with legendary SB he probably owns him. I would send him a BB-mail and ask him which one of his players has the highest shot blocking skill and what the players defensive results have been.

If I yell 'choke' as the opposing teams guy shoots, and he misses, I get a block right?

If I yell 'pass' and the guy does and the guy who gets the shot makes it, then I should get an assist too right? I mean it was my idea right?

you get a warning, then a T.

im still trying to work out the value of SB to my team. it is harder to judge if it affects shot quality too (which i hope the game engine does). i also think the game engine should not reset the shot clock if the offense keeps possession after a block.

on balance id rather my big guys have id/is/reb then appropriate secondaries rather than a high SB. SB is unlikley to be really really low after training the other inside skills.

my outside guys block shots from time to time and i think SB is "free" for them.

aside from the real value on court of the skill, its always nice to see one of your players owning another with a massive block, muharhar

All my players got at least respectable blocking, team averaging 11.2 blocks per game no matter what def i run or off, twice past the 20 mark ,nuff said about the importance of SB,
Whats the point of having high salary cheerleaders waving hands under the rim in what is supposed to be high ID if they can reject the ball even if theyre life depends on it
