Well, I guess this is goodbye. More of an au revoir than an adieu I hope. This may be a self indulgent post but as reigning champion I'm going to go ahead with it anyway.

I'd be lying if I said this was unexpected. I think most of you will suspect it was tanking, and while I wouldn't use that word, I can see why others would use it.

I decided at the end of last season that I couldn't possibly win a third. Having spent big on Kuzniar I hadn't the financial muscle to replace the one or two players I needed to replace. Surviving with the players I had left and a couple of fill ins for a season seemed like a waste. Three months is quite a chunk of time and quite frankly after three trophies in two seasons I just didn't want to do it. So I decided a complete rebuild was necessary in order for me to compete again as soon as possible.

As the season went on I felt I could show the BBs how easy it was to lose badly all season and still avoid their ridiculous anti tanking boycott. Without really having to try very hard I managed to win one game in each segment of the season, while also keeping my bank balance low, just in case I didn't manage the three wins. What I like to think is a very small two fingered salute to the BBs, even though they probably won't see it.

Now, what's next? You may have noticed I'm training atm. I have plans for them if I do keep them, though there's a possibility one or more of them may be swapped for other trainees. I do plan to return to the EBBL, though no doubt plenty of teams will try to stop me, but it won't be a one season stay for me in d2.

sorry to see you go, depending on how things pan out for me I may decide to join you if I don't find a way of replacing Innes

I'm sure you're going to be back pretty soon, all the best with the training programme.

By the way, I've only just realised you used to be JR Knights, congrats on your team's performance in the EBBL to date and all the best for next season.

Looking at the D2 teams in with a chance of coming up, I was especially interested in who might be the 5th team promoting. As I understand the rules the team with the best record promotes. This means T20 cricketers are guaranteed promotion, even if they lose their final. Should they win, then I believe Mikramus will be back as his Los Mikitos have the next best record.

Slightly stunned here, I didn't expect a win from this game to be honest.

Well done on your win the other day ;) I'm a bit deflated as I had the biggest payroll in the league but my highest salary player just couldn't stay on the floor, he's great on paper but really just a liability with that foul rate.

I thought it was probably 50-50 given your payroll, but my home advantage, so delighted to win.

Having to crunch against you whilst Vecx got an enth boost was always going to be a problem, but the 20 point margin and first half blowout suggests that it wasn't decisive. I just couldn't stop ToF scoring.

Back to the drawing board....
