Wow....This thread was about ways to stop Day Traders and now we have day traders writing each other love letters.
Regardless, even if my low merchandise is due to the transferring of players, I think I make a lot more money from day trading than the slight decrease in merchandise.

Is this a plus for the game?...When day traders don't even have to worry about their merchandising.

If anything, there is a problem with merchandise. I would be less likely to day trade if I could actually get a decent income from merchandise. If I wasn't day trading, my merchandise might be 10k higher. Lets just say that it would be 20k higher to prove a point. 20k extra a week for 14 weeks is 280k. That is basically just 1 or 2 good day trading sales.

Now if I could earn 50k extra a week by not day trading from merchandise then it may be a stronger deterrant.
50k extra a week x 14 weeks = 700k. That would be close to what I would make from day trading I think, and even if I could make a little more with day trading, this 700k would be risk free.

So higher merchandise may limit day trading.

On the other hand, this is a basketball game, not a stock market game.

Hi, welcome back, that's why you need to do something more to reduce DT

imho is necessary a little bit more effort, this could be also "against" for everyone would like to buy a player for a single game (nothing against the winner of the BBB), so I vote for an higher taxation within the first month.

Then absolutely Ot, there are still some things to "adjust". Not good to see Dtraders but is worst to see teams in Ivth division training for the NT player with huge salary. Shot blocking is still a skill useless, I really hope you're testing the new tactics and at the end my merchandising is bugged

Coming back to DT, don't see the top teams, at the top level the competion is too high that everyone can ask a request of tpa and then, at the top level the DT cannot have an high % of influence in the economy cause the incomes are quite high, 500k earned in first division are not the same of 500k earned in the Vth division.

Maybe bot teams can be involved. If there would exist any precise mechanism, that player with prominent inside shot and rebounding will not go under 600k, bot with available cash could overbid player which bidded 500k, then gived that player on the market for 600k.
I mean this dirty job can be done automaticly, while depends on actual prices and skills how they are valuable...

Perhaps free agents can simply have their initial listing set higher than 1k. Perhaps set the initial price as the lower end of the TPE?

Not all players have a TPA estimate.

Imo, I think they need to increase the merchandise for local and your drafted players. I think there need's to be more of a reward to train your own players. As the BB's have said they want to have several strategy's on having a successful team, so i think the answer is not to punish the day traders but to increase the advantage to the non traders, as the non day traders should have more local and drafted talent
